The 3008 is far better, looks better and Peugeot have really improved .
no one is buying peugeot…malaysians are afraid of the maintenance, reliability, resale value. beauty is not important n very subjective for some people…but can deny the fact that cx5 is also beautiful…hence you are see for urself…more cx5 on the road…
U_uu
Only Mazda CX 5
@@iwansquare if only they realise how good the new Peugeots are. It’s really night n day. On par with other manufacturers in terms of reliability, resale etc
Gotta say, awesome editing! I'm impressed. So much better then the previous Driven series. Good job! I'm falling in love with Driven more and more.
Love the easter eggs you guys have put in there. Presentation is vastly improved, and so is the pace and chronology of the video. Bring on more Driven episodes!!
another good episode of Driven! Thumbs up!
now this kind of review I've been waiting for
3 best host together in a video, well done paul tan
A *very* good triple-review, also very well directed, filmed and edited: my compliments.
I'm going to buy a 3008, by the way :->
Roberto Giannotta Did you get it finally?
Nice editing. I do feel the 3008 deserved better. All those positive points, but then you just put it on last place because Peugeot is not an established brand in Malaysia. After watching the video I was expecting that the CR-V would end last, but it finishes first because it's the most "practical"...
I don't understand how Honda won this comparison. It doesn't make any sense... it is only more pratical according to them.
Really good comparison review guys!
good joob to your editing team !
Awesome review video guys! Hope to see this kind of review videos in all the next videos!
i miss Driven very very much...so fun to watch you guys banter and review cars.
Great review. Love the various viewpoints
Well reviewed guyss.. really helping me to find out which one the best.. plus the humor as well tho
Nicely done!
So Honda being the cheapest-feeling is not only here in Indonesia eh ? The Indonesian CR-V got some issues like the gear lever button can snap off while driving.
Contrary to this, the Peugeot is the most expensive here in Indonesia (750millions IDR or around RM 214K) but it only comes in GT-Line, much more expensive than the Mazda CX-5 2.5 GT (we don't have diesel opt) in around 550millions IDR or RM 157K. The Honda is much more cheaper by around 513millions or RM 146K.
Guys, nobody bothered to notice the beautiful location of this review!
Where was this review done?
Absolutely gorgeous.
Bagan Lalang beach :)
I really thought its beautiful as well, forgot to mention that :P
Been waiting too long for a driven episode.
great review as always! very informative. thanks
Love the review! May I know the location where you shot this video? :)
Fantastic review and great background music, although i'd probably turn the volume down a touch. Good job! (BTW Mazda FTW :)
Love this series. Keep it up guys. Love my 2.2 Diesel CX-5 too.
Getting better every time good job guys
Good video guys! But just a point to add, you could have added some comments on the Tiguan compared to these 3 models as people in the market for an SUV will also be looking at VW.
For ME wins the Peugeot. I Drove all of them and bought the 3008 GT Line.
good luck
Shame you guys don’t get the full range, as the Gt line and above have all the safety features and more!!!
Sheldon, yes it is a shame but if all bells and whistles on 3008 are in here, the price will exceed past the other two so it wont be comparable in terms of money anymore.
I think CRV wins only on practicality. Other than that both CX5 and 3008 got more advantages than CRV.
Hi Paul Tan team. Mentioned in video with regards to Peugeot brand image; possible to elaborate? 3008 looks on first impressions a very nice vehicle.
Love the gta 5 character change sytle there 😍
Glad you noticed!
JYEAHH!!
GTA in Malaysia
Amir Kupak so nice hahaw
Amir Kupak yeah! It's really different from previous driven episodes!
Really good review, good job!
A very professional and thorough review of three cars I’m interested in. I think the 3008 1.6 180 bhp gt premium is a better option car now to get over the minor points you raised so I’ll buy that model.
Very thorough , unbiased review..well done guys
Good review .... nicely shot video, Bravo
Great review guys!!!
Nice video. Really good presentation. But here's my comment. I had to connect a speaker to my phone so that I can hear you guys talk clearly.
Nice review. Pls review the best C segment & D segment sedans.
My 3 year old CX5 2.5 petrol rear struts have cracks (twice since purchase). I wonder if the new CX 5 have solved this issue which other Mazda owners have been complaining about.
The new Mazda CX5 G code diesel is now 187 horsepower with 450nm torque! 0 to 100kmh has been significantly improved to 7.8 seconds.
But CRV got 193 HP with only 1.5L engine comapre to mazda 2.0L engine.
@@serge327 1.5 turbo mah, tune here and there then can get 193hp loh
@@serge327 but 0-100 takes more than 9 seconds...
GREAT VID!! Top gear/ Grand tour approved!
Very good review and conclusion. All perfect options, to these three I'm also reviewing Rav 4. Will test-drive all in Match, and make a decision in April! Can't wait.
guys! about damn time!
These guys are straight pros. Stumbled upon this video from Canada
Thanks for the honest ,well informative and unbias reviews of you three, i've just bought a 2019 1.6 ltr turbo dsl. I'm glad i made the right choice, it is really pleasure to drive, by the way i'm from the Philippines, more power to you men.
Which variant?
very good review boys
Very detail and well explaination!
Was this video shot at Bagan Lalang beach?? It's a beautiful place. A must visit beach. By the way, good review. I will go for the Mazda. Peugeot is still a 50-50 for me due to reliability issues in the past.
Now i heard crv have some problem...
That handbag though...haha good one Matthew! Probably most expensive than all three car reviewed
Excellent editing and presentation. Really enjoyed watching you guys!
Hopefully ur guy can do an episode compare 208, fiesta Ecoboost & Mazda 2. Hopefully
Waiting for more video like this
Nice review
Nice Review! Thank you.
Great trio! Bravo!
I'm comparing between the 3008, Ateca and Tiguan guys, what do you recommend?
great show guys
Nice comparison. How come you guys do not included Subaru Forester?
please do a Driven series of coupes ( 4 series vs C class Coupe etc )
Amazing transition between cars and presenters. GTA5 style. Love it. Well done!
peugeot 3008 all day long for me . its got mostly everything you need from an suv . i should know because I've got one and absolutely love it !! I've got the gtline premium .
Would love to see how the Japanese SUVs stack up against the Harrier! Great review guys!
Any problems with the CRV's engine? Oil dilution/fuel leaks?
Nice one guys.
Excellent video! The boy racer in me wants the CX-5 but when I sat in the Honda I was amazed by how much space it has. I am over six feet tall and had ACRES of leg, head and shoulder room. Got to go with logic here. Plus I actually think it's a nice looking car. Certainly has a presence! Thanks guys, you have convinced me even more that I am destined to buy a Honda CRV. It's the best option for my family and I.
Is there a minimum speed for AEB when automatically activated?
Is it true about the Honda economy mode was engaged during the test accidentally? WE drove Mazda and Honda featured here. Only the Mazda 2.5 can win a straightline acceleration 0-60. Not the 2 ltr version. I like good cornering cars so my preference is for the Mazda.
Malaysia has beautiful people. Thanks for review.
Wait, is driven changed another video shooting team? It looks different from 2018 episode one! It looks so normal, I Guess they want to be usual&common video instead of fine tune of Color adjusting and cinematic feel. Please bring back the quality of episode one
That was a balanced assessment of the 3 SUV. Congratulations! By the way, here in these Philippines, I own a Honda CRV Sx 1.5L diesel. It's very comfortable, safe ( thanks to Honda sensing), and very fuel efficient. For a diesel, it is very silent!
Can you make a video like this for mpv?
Great review from u guys...i can say..it's the return of the king...good job honda & mazda 😊😊😊
good video , camera work can be better though !! well done !
CRV turbo engine has any problem like they faced in the china market?
excellant nice report ..i enjoy it
Great review guys! 😁
I'm assuming you don't get the CRV diesel version on Malaysia? Would have been nice to see the diesel version tested along with the others... But overall, still loved the review. You guys hit the bullseye on the things i would consider whene looking for a car. Please keep up the great work! 😁
Nice comparison. But I'm sure that there are measurement differences between these three models. There's no way that 3008's trunk is that much bigger than CX5's. In European documentations, CX5's trunk is rated at 505 lt, not 422.
Why did you get the cheapest version of the CX-5?? When the Grand Touring has all the electronic do-dads this one is missing? And why not the 2.5L AWD ?!
Does malaysia only have the 6 speed automatic? Because in europe and other countries the the 3008 And other peugeots have 8 speed automatic.
Its about a year now. Which car break down the fastest ?
Wait u guys don'tt get the panoramic roofs?
appreciate showing the length of cargo space when the 2nd row seats are down...
Dunno why the voice audio is always whispering soft as compared to music in most Paultan videos recording, izzit just me or editor ears? just my 2 cents
I go for clean design, enough power and build quality that is the CX5 specially not aCVT.
Great video this…
According to Mazda and many other sites CX-5 has 506 liter boot space.
3008 owner here, i really think the cruise control is position / design right at the location.. i really dont need see it and just so nicely reach without 2nd thought.
Nice review BTW~
Actually CR-V shouldn't be in this comparison. Coz for Malaysian it's a no-brainer. It has the biggest space, reliable Honda brand and low maintenance. But everything else about it is underwhelming and it doesn't have a character. But Malaysian families don't care about this.
The comparison should be on the Best Alternatives - Mazda CX-5, Peugeot 3008, VW Tiguan and Subaru Forester.
md najib exactly
Great comparison. I currently have a Mazda CX-5 but i am getting very drawn towards the Peugeot for my next car.
Same here. I got the older version of the cx5 and ordered a peugeot 3008 GT Line. Will arrive end of this year...so excited :)
Christo hi Christo, how is your 3008?
@christo1989 HI
I hope you're well.
How has your experience with the GT Line been?
Safety, comfort, performance. For me is the Lion.
When are we going to have driven for 7 seater SUV?
Amazing turbo diesel fuel economy for the CX-5 . If you're not stuck in the jam all the time, I don't see a good reason to buy a petrol hybrid car which does not consume much lesser fuel than a modern turbo diesel . This C segment SUV with 19inch wheels already can get 15.3km/l which perform alot better than alot of B segment small petrol engine car in terms of fuel economy.
We almost bought cx 5 this year but decided to wait until the x70. now due to our house reno, x70 is the choice for us. it is nearly the same size as cx 5 & for sure smaller inside than today crv model. Mine will be ckd so we pray there will be no big issue like cx 5 rear suspension fast wearing out or honda fitting quality problem. Sorry as much as i like european cars for driving, i cannot afford the time and maintenance cost after the warranty is over.
After sales service which one had better value for money?
Of coz honda
For me, Peugeot 3008 is the best looking suv. Mazda CX5 drive corners better than CRV. But for big family and practicality, cannot go wrong with CRV. Unfortunately sales people will get angry as usual. I just wish there could be some after sales service talk in the review. Sales numbers do not lie which is why some better cars do not sell well due to parts availability and bad service.
how fast is Honda CVT transmission w/ turbo??
Guys, do review the New 2018 Hilux vs Nissan Navara NP300 vs Ford Ranger Wildtrak
Hie, Ron 95 or 97 for CRV 1.5 T ?
that last air hump was not needed
The Peugeot's worth like 184.700 RM in my country. We only get the top trim which is GT Line and no other trim available.
Should include the Hyundai Tucson also
why is forester not bring in to compare?
Why didnt you guys add the tiguan in the review?
