I am not in the hunters shoes, I don’t know his level of fitness or health. However, as a hunter, I believe that if you are not capable of retrieving an animal, then you are not capable of hunting them. I am conflicted with this film and the outcome. Guides will go out of their way to take care of the client. The client however should not put his guide in harms way because he is unfit or unwilling.

i agree man. not denying the effort it took to get that ram, but i don't know how i feel about shooting an animal if you can't retrieve it yourself.

Did you have to rezero the gun for that altitude? As you go up, the point of impact does also.

300PRC does work. Just got mine shooting a 215 Berger, louder and more recoil than my 28 nosler but just as deadly.

Im sorry but i pretty much lost respect when the one that pulls the trigger & is willing to take the kill shot is not willing to be part of the retrieval.

That was my thought, don’t shoot what you can’t retrieve yourself

No shame in admitting when you're beat, better to get off the mountain safe than to try and prove your manhood. If he goes up there and gets himself hurt, he's putting everyone's lives at risk, not just his own. Good call by the hunter.
