my grandmother taught me how to make maki sushi we always put odd number fillings usually tuna, egg, kampyo, watercress , and dried ebi i liked your suggestion of using my tamoyaki pan for the egg
These are definitely the kine recipes that we’re losing. Younger people now days just like the fancy kine sushi 🍣 that they can take pictures of for social media. This is the kine sushi we grew up on, this and “cone sushi”, none of that fancy kine stuff… we had 2 choices, maki sushi or cone sushi… now they get too many options 😁🤭. Do you have a stuffed aburage (aburaage) video? I know how to make it already, but that’s a good video to make to save for future generations, people used to eat it a lot but you don’t see people eating it anymore unfortunately… they’re missing out.
Thank you so much Tutu Aloha Nui 🌺❤️
One of my favorite sushis. Mahalo

Mahalo Aunty you are an amazing cook! Do you visit Hawai’i often? How long have you been living in Vegas? Where did you grow up in Hawai’i? Mahalo
You make it seem so simple, Aunty. I wish we were neighbors.
“…It’s called ‘No-Dee…’ Because the Japanese don’t pronounce the R’s very well…” 😂
