It’s crazy. My voice for Spamton was always bouncing between a manic, desperate salesman and text-to-speech WillFromAfar, and lo and behold, those are the two most popular interpretations.
This dub is so good!! It resonates with me so much that it’s basically synonymous with Spamton for me. The more genuine dialogue like the shop dialogue and the post-Neo fight was spot on IMO. Spamton brings out such a strange vibe that I feel it can be interpreted in a ton of different and creative ways, so props to you for putting in your [heart shaped object] to the table! Much love for the [big shot!]

This is def the best Spamton dub. He's obviously meant to be some sort of stereotypical cutthroat salesman or online scammer from the 90s, so the distorted over-the-phone audio, and random text-to-speech and clippings from advertorials are perfect.

That part where he freezes and you hear "hello? Can anyone hear me? Help..." always gives me a chill. This one gave a feeling like the voice has been stuck for a while and is not as enthusiastic as it used to when trying to be heard. It scares me even more when he says "it sounded like he was talking to you". Spamton is a pretty cool character, huh?
Getting major "The Game of Life" vibes at certain points with the default voice, not gonna lie. Kinda fitting when you think about it. Spamton's default appearance fits the gameshow host/announcer vibes while various "[Insert text here]" fit the uncontrollable chaos literal spam has with the randomly picked text-to-speech voices. Definitely heard a few familiar ones amongst all the voices. (Those familiar with the original hidden audio file in Undertale will know what I mean.)
I actually really like to take of Spamton! I like how his “normal voice” ( the parts where it isn’t text to speech/automated) gives off this early internet assistant vibe while screaming “I’m sane! But not really!”. Good work, I approved!
Y'know i didn't think "Lorenzo Music as Garfield but processed as early internet audio files, a la the early works of Neil Cicieraga" would work with Spamton but it really works here
This is honestly a fresh take on Spamton's voice that I hadn't thought about before hearing it. It definitely gives the vibes of 90's-style computer programs and early internet voice rendering, which makes him sound more casual and friendly in some places while more artificial and surreal in others. The bracket effects are amazing and really capture the distortion aspect, everything culminating in the final battle where he finally seems to come apart. The ending though...there was something just plain _haunting_ about Spamton's voice in those final lines, where he's consigned himself to his fate and urges the heroes to keep going in his own way. Spectacular work!
so, something that I realized about spampton when he's giving you the instructions to the disc. he's slowing his talking so he's not interrupted by his brackets.

I like how you interpret his bracketed text via text to speech programs (like ua-cam.com/video/Z4hqUxb9MmY/v-deo.html) too! I was iffy on it at first, when I saw your first video voicing his first appearance, but the longer this new video went on, I really warmed up to it! I preferred the interpretation of his bracketed dialogue sounding more like excerpts from different commercials that were more emotive (since that’s what most of his bracketed dialogue comes off like) *and* robotic text to speech (for more specific lines like [[Hyperlink Blocked]]) But you really made it work! Especially when you emphasized “[[Desperate]]” as a chilling whisper, as well as a lot of his dialogue in his shop to really set in the unsettling mood behind how unstable a lot of his text for those interactions. They’re just a bit hard to understand sometimes if his text wasn’t written there to read, so some of his jokes might get missed thanks to that! That might just be a me-thing, though. There’s a Spanish fandub I also really really love that follows the “commercial” interpretation for his most of his bracketed dialogue-ua-cam.com/video/W6hCCT5bnC8/v-deo.html-and he nails the laugh and stutters really well and syncs up with his Sprite animation. Oh! Speaking of laughs, I love how shakily excited the “H E A V E N” sounds at 11:43. And making his cackle at 11:51 go higher and higher pitched to emulate his laugh in-game?? That’s AMAZING. How did you nail that effect?? All in all, a really amazing fandub! One of my favorite interpretations for sure! I love your vocal range with Phoenix, Edgeworth, and von Karma, too. A big part of why I love spamton is the possibilities for voice acting he gives. I've seen so many interpretations of his voice and all of them are so good
I love how he's swallowing the mic but is also way too far away from it at the same time. Also love how inhuman and human he sounds from the weird line delivery

8:06 Oh damn he had that straight moment of clarity and he even lost the "phone" effect over his voice, thats a nice touch. It's like how Alastor from Hazbin Hotel sometimes loses the radio effect over his voice when he wants to emphasize something
watching this the first time i was like hmmn. this voice for him makes me uncomfortable and i don’t know why. rewatching it, i think it might be because it’s SO calm. it’s genuinely unnerving hearing this soft 90s infomercial voice say this wack shit. and with his regular voice being muted, it makes the glitches REALLY pop. it’s perfect for him. idk it makes it more Real that he’s this tragically corrupted guy- who was just a normally salesman at some point. so i absolutely love it, possibly my favorite interpretation now. the discomfort is a feature, not a bug
I love how creepy you made some of those computer generated voices, and the way you repeated your voice clips for part like the "I'LL GET SO" wall. It really sold the idea of Spamton being well and truly corrupted.

ive always wanted the [bracketed] lines to be sampled from anywhere on the internet and not voice acted, and this one probably comes the cloest.
Yeah I would've done it that way if I was a masochist but I figured this was a good compromise
