      Basic_Fishing fishing hard body’s is a lot different, try changing the treble hooks to single hooks. They don’t get snagged as much plus you’ll land more fish too.

    I enjoyed re watching this , and am going to take the lazy mans ( which I have learnt here in Oregon ) way to sit on the bank with a cold or hot one, 1 - 2oz lead, 1- 2ft off the bottom, with an 8 - 10ft leader waving in the current with either an egg sack ( which I wont be able to make till I have some real roe dried and cured ) , or single egg on, and wait till the beer runs out.. I am at my happiest when I am off my old feet.

    Great Clip Dylan - very informative. I was working down there briefly last September and managed to get out for a morning. Caught a 2lb brown - nothing else caught by anyone i spoke to. How does a fly rod set up go?

      Loose Loops Fly Fishing if I was fly fishing this time of year I’d go similar style rig like the Tongoriro style, heavy nymph to get down then a small globug or egg pattern of some kind.

    Do you use the same rig for off the side of the dam?

    What kg rod rating do you recommend ? and reel size? is 4000 too big?

    • @FishingForeverFilms
      @FishingForeverFilms  5 років тому

      Tristan Wood I use a 1/3kg rod with a 2000/2500 sized reel spooled with 6/10lb braid with a 6/8lb leader

    What weight was the sinker you were using in the video?

    • @FishingForeverFilms
      @FishingForeverFilms  6 років тому

      ProfishingNZ can’t remember sorry, it all changes due to current flows. Faster the current the heavier the sinker, slower the current the lighter the sinker etc.

    We catch wild fish this size in the kenai river AK. They get fat from salmon eggs and flesh.
