- 'Lounge-A-Palooza' (1997) is a compilation album issued in 1997 by Hollywood Records. Released to capitalize on the 1990s lounge music revival, it features cover versions of songs, including classic lounge hits performed by contemporary artists and 1990s hits covered by lounge singers.
RIP, Steve and Eydie. May you find each other in that great beyond.
This is unexpectedly gorgeous
Beautiful, I can't believe Eydie and Steve recorded this cover!!!! Rest in peace Dear Eydie. . .
…and now Steve. I’m glad they are together though.💔💔💔
pulled this for the solar eclipse today 4/8/24- I like what they did with it
I can't believe this is real, but I'm glad it is.
I love their version better than the original! Their harmonies are beautiful! And now I know what the song is about! Anyway RIP, Steve Lawrence.
A testament to the lasting talent and genius of our late Chris Cornell and of course Steve and Eydie.
Amazing.
Absolute perfection
This is a masterpiece. Everything is top shelf - vocals, arrangement, engineering, and, of course, the idea. Just brilliant. Demonstrates that a great melody transcends genre.
This is simply beautiful. I actually teared up listening to it. 😢
Out of the park! 💯
You know it, Frank!
I appreciate the album cover of "That Holiday Feeling!" used as the video here, and the cozy Christmas vibes complementing the music.
I thought that this was a joke! As a boomer I grew up watching these two on T V. What a great duo.
Just amazing. And so unknown
You could even say it's Superunknown.
@@praketingrichraft6181 You beat me to it, LOL
RIP Steve.
"No one sings like you anymore"
Makes me long for the old days 🥹
Love this never knew Steve & Eydie did it RIP Steve & Eydie
Somebody did an impressive job on the arrangement here.
The arrangement shows that the producer and musicians took the cover seriously. It’s not an ironic cover and it doesn’t make fun of the song or it’s lyrics. It’s respectful. They took their time and put care and craftsmanship into every layer of the song.
Oh yeah
Arranged by Gordon Jenkins and Harry Nilsson.
@@vikasbandhu8645that's exactly what I thought.
@@nelsonlugo45 Quite a trick, Harry Nilsson writing an arrangement of a song that wasn't released while he was alive. It was arranged and conducted by Bennett Salvay.
😂 DAMN YOU, JIM KERR! 🤣
This should be played on all rock stations on 1 April.
Beautiful orchestration ❤
Unbelievably great version....
Unbelievable never knew.. 🤯🥳🥳🥳🎶🎶🎶👊👊👊
I keep coming back to this time and again--they were taking very seriously a song outside their domain and handled it beautifully. I miss them.
This is far better than it deserves to be.
rest in peace, Steve
Wow that is so cool.
Fantastic!!!!!!!!!
This cover is beautiful! I had no idea it even existed until I googled it a few minutes ago.
Same
Me too
Me too
Steve & Edie Making beautiful music out of beauriful music.
I just love this version of it❤
They got a Grammy for this. Also Oscar, Emmy and Nobel.
brilliant
RIP, Steve and Eydie.
Rest in Peace Steve💚💚💚
What an amazing cover. Eydie Gorme sounds as good as with her work with Trio Los Panchos.
It was the end theme of "A Walk Among the Tombstones," with Liam Neeson, sung by Nouela. She had a slightly different but much improved version on one of her own albums. But yeah, seeing as how Steve Lawrence once said that after listening to the Rolling Stones, he had to take a bath, I can't believe Steve and Eydie did this, and well.
very rare song
Magnificent
Good cover
There are songs that are so amazing, anyone can make them sound good. - BUT THEN...
There are singers that can make any song sound great. BUT THEN....
There area times when those two ingredients combine (and you add congas) and it turns into a masterpiece.
Merry Christmas Grunge
Freaky- to hear this when the the original is so different
This works because they throw all that they have got at it.
It’s your choice. You can open for me at the Meadowlands, or you can headline at the Tick Tock Inn! 😮
R.i.p. 😪❤
NGL: I prefer this to the original. Except for that one drumfill into the chorus on the original - that's great.
Rest in peace, Steve.
Apparently, Paul Anka has a version as well. It’s more of a swing
RIP
RIP, Steve! (unexpectedly, I love this......but now, I'm thinking that Shatner will probably give it a go. OY)
no where to be found .. except youtube
And on the CD Lounge-a-Palooza
And my record shelf
I put this up there with Johnny Cashs' cover of Hurt.
They were closet metalheads ;-)
Remember the backlash when Pat Boone went heavy metal?
Soundgarden were NOT metal. They had Punk influences. Metal's for dumb teens.
I used to like the Soundgarden version but once I heard this, their version sounds lame. This is the definitive version of this song.
R.I.P. Steve.
This song is NOT on that album!
It's on side C
Calm down-generally. -love, your family
Lounge -A-Palooza.
It is now!
Where can I buy this on iTunes???
Well I've been thinking about this and I guess you'd have to blame this on the bossa Nova
What...how...huh??
From the CD Lounge-a-Palooza, where artists did Lounge versions of Alt rock songs
Was this holiday album released in the 90s? Seems odd to include BHS on there among a bunch of holiday tunes.
😊 you didn't get it.
@@pumasgoya No, I never bought the album
Legendary. Thank you Adam Carolla.
This is one payment that Carolla made to us. No vig yet
Did they intend this as satire.
No
I love Steve and Eydie singing but I do not like this crappy song at all.
You're the only one. You have lousy taste.
Omg i had no idea they sung this i only know the one from Soundgarden
much better than the original one!
in wich compliation is this song?
Loungeapalooza or however tf it's spelt
"No one sings like you anymore"
