Wow no comments. Thanks, I found out why I'm cracking the cane; pushing down in the middle. Last time for that! 4 out of five in the last batch, and that gets really expensive. The last video I watched said to flatten the cane on the side of the knife before bending the cane over the knife, and that only works with really soft cane.

So glad I could help! Flattening cane on a knife is certainly one way to fold over the cane, but it was never my preferred method as you can see! Happy reed making!
