As a Czech who studied history and knows quite well Hussite Wars, I expected to find a lot of false nonsense here, but i didnt. Very nice and well-made video!

I mean the developers themselves are Czech... wouldn't be far-fetched to assume they themselves want to do their own history justice or even actual Czech historians worked on the game with the studio...

@@mastercheif878 well that’s not what he meant. He meant from the video creator. It’s actually kinda hard to find information on some of these smaller people in the Hussite wars if you do not write or speak Czech. Most Wikipedia pages are not translated to English for these people although Jan zizka does actually have one in English

Jan Zizka has a campaign in the AOE2 expansion Dawn of the Dukes. After some time I nearly felt bad for bullying the emperor again and again.
    Nearly.

    Crusaders: "Haha, horses go brrrrr!"
    Žižka: "No, they actually don't."😂😂😂

I like how people were still questioning if that was Jan Zizka in the trailers. The scene with the injured eye was a dead giveaway.

Yeah but that didn’t happen until one of the last trailers. Because we seen him in other trailers with both eyes

1:06 ... There, I would say in "human" history, not just European.
There are only a handful of generals in ALL of history who were undefeated, and Žižka was constantly up against greater power with much better equipment, soldiers etc.
He relied solely on tactics, morale modern weapons combined with "home-made" weapons...
He probably faced the most unfavorable odds of all those handful of generals and still won every time, just like they did.

u did not mentioned the real zizkas invations, he introduced a proper sub division of the army, the army had a code of conduct, writen down, iron discipline, a proper logistical system, due to use of wagons as a transport the hussite army could cover more ground than the oposition therefore could outmanoveur the oposition. basically the hussites were the first proper army in europe since the roman legions.

    1:10 .. letter "c" sounds in czech as "ts" so it's "Tro(ts)nov" not "Tro(K)nov"
Just write "Trocnov" to google translator in czech and press read.
    Also
9:44 .. Sirotci -> "sirot(ts)i" not "sirot(K)y" - that is in Czech the 4th case (accusative) of the plural form of the noun "sirotek" (orphan)

also one forgoten and completly overlooked inovation was the hussite fortification inovations which were century ahead of the rest of the europe, hussite castles such as kalich had elements which were not seen in rest of europe until the vauban star fortreses

Verily, a most splendid historical vision! In sooth, I did anticipate some folly, yet none was found. Prithee, shouldst thou require the true utterance of Czech names henceforth, but speak, and I shall oblige.

Great historical video to be honest i expected some "nonsense" but there is not nonsense at all. PS if you need to know the correct pronunciations of Czech names for future just simple comment below

Hi, first of all, I'm very glad someone is so interested in our history. It's great. Please continue. However, please try to study the pronunciation of the names a little more. It's not just bad pronunciation anymore. It's a genocide of pronunciation.

small nit picking... trocnow was not a williage the wiliage today known as trocnow was renamed later, it was the name of the small farm the zizka family owned, the farm itself was a small little better than a howell...
