This guy rocks. The way he rolls when he falls gives a new meaning to the phrase "roll with the punches". So he just created a new way to "rock and roll". 😄

Other amputee-related topics which would be helpful would be: dealing with phantom limb pain, performing everyday activities (e.g.-getting dressed, taking a shower, driving a car), the value of amputee support groups, dealing with mental health issues, the difference between a selective surgery vs. a traumatic amputation.

Came here to say this. Disappointed to see this kind of rhetoric here, as a disabled person with chronic pain who finds this channel’s physical therapy content immensely valuable.

Bingo! I'm not a Justice Warrior, but I've heard this enough with my injured husband in the military. It's absurd. He's a great guy, I'm sure, but why compare? Just end the comparison. Tell his story while not belittling others. A compliment isn't a compliment when it insults other people.

Physically it doesn't make sense to compare anyway. Each body is different. A similar injury is different for every person. An above knee amputation in one person is going to be experienced differently in another.

The title was enough for me not to watch it. I expected so much better. If you meet one disabled person; you've met one disabled person. I hope they read this thread because clearly they need to familiarize themselves with the conversations around ableism and inspo p*rn

Guys, you missed the mark on this one. Wife of a limb salvage. Being an amputee is not the worst thing that could happen to anyone. It's not the worst pain. It's not the worst disease. Because there is no "this is the worst thing". Disease and conditions should not be compared. People should not be compared. My husband, with his clothes on, you can't tell he has been greatly injured but he has likely had more surgeries than this guy. It's unfair, it's demonizing people's suffering to compare them to other people. Sure, this guy is probably an amazing person, but is a woman with MS who can't walk not trying hard because this guy can do things she can't? I've known quite a few amputees (military c5), and many of them have less pain than other people I know. Just tell his story, don't shame other people while telling his amazing story. Amputees get more attention because it's a physical injury that everyone can see and can pity, but they aren't better than other ill or injured people.
