Gotta say, I've used Color oops with success (not sure how different it is from what she used) but i ~think~ what contributes to the dryness is the shampooing....3 times in one sitting, plus she did another session, so 6 times in 2 days?? My hair would be quite dry too!
Not going to lie, I thought when it said 'black to blonde with no bleach' that she would pull out a wig?! Bless her for having to learn these mistakes herself! 🤗💖
I haven't finished the video yet but I'm gonna assume that she's gonna get discouraged because she won't be platinum with this color remover and then just dye her hair black again 😂
Likely the best way for her to embrace her unpigmented ("grey") hair is to cut a lot of that dyed hair off and trim off the dyed hair as it grows out. Or shave her head 😜 I predict a crazy outcome to her attempt. Hair Budda knows what he is talking about when it comes to hair!
When I decided to embrace my gray I got it cut pretty short, a nice cut with nice layering and then kept having the ends trimmed regularly for a few months. If your hair grows really slow, probably a few foil highlights or low lights would help too.
Ive been turning gray since i was 12. Ive always wanted to go blonde but my hair is black too. Im 36 now and my hair turns out is skipping gray but going silver/white. So i discussed with my hairdresser and we are going to speed the process and im going to white with brownish lowlights. Last month we started with the first ash blonde/blonde highlights. And in 8 weeks we are going to add more until its finished.
People need to think about how strong color pigments are. Dyed hair can be washed, treated, blowdried, hot-ironed and the pigment lasts through it all. Imagine what it takes to then remove all of it.
The biggest tip I can give anyone dying their hair dark brown or black when it comes to doing the root touch up don't just cover the whole head of hair with that dark dye because you are adding another layer of pigments to the mids and ends every time you do it so if you decide you want to change the colour in the future it will be so much harder to get all those added pigments layered up on your hair if you need to dye roots then just do your roots don't over lap then when you are rinsing it out the colour will lightly wash over your minds and ends and refresh the colour anyway without adding loads more un needed pigments
Rachel Maksy was just removing hair dye. She was going back to red. Also if you watched that you saw it didn't completely work. She's corrected it since.
If u R doing that severe switch Use K18 It fixes your hair from the INSIDE OUT Wash hair NO Conditioner 1 pump Rub between your hand till it *foams* Start with Roots to ends Need More/lots of Thick hair or lots of it? 2-3 Pumps Dry hair slightly =60% damp Let it SIT FOR 4 MINUTES (FOUR) THEN IF U WANT LEAVE IN CONDITIONER Use 4 6 washes Then Every few shampoos 4 maintenance!
The lay people of the world have no clue the complexity of the Art of hair!! Entertaining H.Budha!! P.s. you are reaffirming my knowledge of my profession. Thanks my cohort in beauty😎🌞
Thank you Hair Buddha! Your explanations have helped me to understand that I don't actually have brown hair but some sort of medium blond which explains why when I bleached my hair, circa 2006, that it came out light yellow, not baby chicken yellow, but enough where I wasn't embarrassed to go out. It was fun but I haven't done anything since, maybe I'll try henna.
Y liked this video very much Myself can not use haircolors dye cause of hennah use which does better for my hair. About the gray hairs Yve read about it that the taking away pigments from the follicle is connected to the liver. Liver cleansing will help get pigments back in polishing sunny shines.
The only damage I've ever gotten from color removers (like Color Oops) was from having to wash multiple times and the RINSING. Dried my hair right out. But, in trying to combat that, I also got rid of the HORRID smell. For some reason, Garnier Whole Blends Honey conditioner made it disappear. Next time I washed my hair, there was a subtle hint, but using the conditioner again got rid of it completely. Nothing else has ever worked.
I've used colour removers and never had damage, this woman had unrealistic expectations - especially thinking she didn't need bleach, I sat here rolling my eyes. My sister put a dark brown on her hair, a frigging box dye, even though I had told her not to and that I would do her hair (cover grey) in her natural light brown auburn colour, so I had the job of getting rid of it, I used one colour remover and got all of that dark brown out, I also made her bend over the bathtub so I could rinse it for 10+ mins, no damage whatsoever.
@@teresadixon2899 That stuff smells horrific, but I'd gladly use it over bleach any day! I've also recently used Color Prep which is made by the Color Oops brand. Don't have to wash/rinse as much and doesn't stink AS much, but works great. I had a line of color like the girl in the video, darker ends cuz they are more porous, and thus stuff removed it and evened everything out. Sadly I didn't have any Garnier conditioner left. Don't know what's in their stuff, but their Honey Treasures and Coconut oil ones smell kinda perfumey, but they get rid of that smell.
After she realized her hair went back to black is the PERFECT time to do a vitamic C treatment. I know you say it doesnt work but It does, you just have to know when to use it. It ONLY works (in my experience) on freshly dyed hair. And if she mixed the vit c powder with clarifying shampoo it would have taken all that black right back out like she never evn dyed it. When I was a blonde and doing my roots myself they would constantly turn green- but mixing up a batch of vit c+clarifying shampoo and then applying it to the green takes it out. Either that or put a bunch of ketchup on your roots to try and counteract the green and pray for the best lol
All of these videos that claim to lighten black hair without bleach are also using hi-lift type colors. It's semantics. They didn't add bleach powder or cream, so they can say they didn't use bleach. Very misleading! If people would only dye thier roots each time, there would be less color to remove. You may have fading, but darkest brown and black shades usually stay dark unless you are washing too often and not using products for colored hair. Precise root touchups prevent weird banding and super dark, dull ends, too.
Despite the damage from the color remover her hair is shinier than my hair ever was or will be haha. Also, the dark hair is very beautiful on her with her complexion and eye colour.
I'm utterly confused! I thought she liked the brighter, redish brown after 2x colour remover. I thought she would try to get the rest of her the lengths the same. And she ends up with the same colour she had.... well, if it makes her happy 🤗 Have a good weekend!
Just a small note. Mammals cannot produce green or blue pigments for their hair. Natural brown and black hair doesn't include blue, which is why you never see it when you bleach natural hair and why black dye on blond sometimes looks unnatural and green. It's just different intensities of yellow and orange which means technically everyone is ginger 😊 This is actually why tigers are orange rather than green but are still camouflaged as the deer they hunt are red/green colour blind.
@@nineteenfortyeight basically no natural ones. The closest you can get is neutral e.g platinum, Ash blonds, Ash browns or jet black. Anything from the blue part of the colour wheel (blue, green, purple) mammals cannot produce. If you want a natural colour to suit a cool toned complexion you want a colour that reflects light as close to white as you can (as little gold). Natural hair colour will never reflect as blue which would normally define it being a 'cool' colour. Natural hair will always be red/yellow/brown to some degree when looked at with a microscope. Obviously, you can have lots of fun with dyes though e.g. navy, purple or cool pinks if you like.
Where I’m from ; - a remote Scandinavian village where everybody had boring light blonde hair, we would have murdered to have her hair color!! 0:15 👈🏻😛 (= Hyperbole). So for years I’ve dyed my hair dark with the type of dye that washes out over time, as in my portrait here. By the way, this is the only existing photo of me with a tan. I gave up tanning thanks to 2 pimples that appeared out of nowhere on my nose, and the pimples lasted longer than the tan I had wasted my entire summer holiday to achieve. 😑 😹
I have natural black hair and I started getting grays really early as well, also around 15 and so did my aunts and uncles that had black hair not dark brown.
I think she never rinsed out the pigments good enough after using it the first time, because I'd say i see reoxidation of the pigments. She looked darker again the next day
I started watching your videos for entertainment only😂. But now i am watching because i am learning so much. I bleached and toned my hair from red back to blond. Well it looked really funny. There is still going on some orange, yellow and even white parts, but i not dare to touch it by myself again. Too much different Shades going on. I just let it grow out. Luckily my natural blond is not that dark so it will blend in. 😊 Thank you for teaching us what not to do 😊
When I went from (dyed) black, back to brown, it took 8 hours in a salon, two lots of bleach at a low volume, olaplex, and a semi-permenent over it and cost me a lot of money. My hair after the first bleaching was a reddish-orange, after the second was orangey-yellow and then we coloured it. The end result was a lovely dark chocolate brown. I find it hilarious that people expect to be able to go from black to blonde in any short length of time. It takes A LOT of work if you don't want to ruin your hair.
Her hair turned black again because it was so porous from using the color remover. The more damaged and brittle your hair is, the more it’ll soak up the color, especially if that color is dark to begin with….
I didn't have bleach or10 or 20 volume developer so I mixed 3% hydrogen peroxide the one used for cleaning wounds with shampoo and put it on the darker parts only it took them to a lighter brown that matched the color removed part. Also a hairdresser told when you dye your hair just do regrowth don't overlap it, later on if you want to bleach it it's easier. Thank you Buddha enjoyed this video
I went to a salon that's well respected in my area I am naturally dark blonde and wanted to go to ash blonde (not drastic) The girl turned my hair clown orange I had to go to another salon because I didn't trust the original girl after that and she didn't add enough toner Another salon did the toner and now it looks ash blonde
Her hair only lifted to a level 4, deep brown with red highlights. It was patchy and needed some spot lifting, then only apply a matching color to her roots. No color should’ve been applied to the rest of her hair, it was too porous, would soak it right up. If she wanted to go blonde thereafter, she needed to wait a month, condition and bond fix it a lot, then have it professionally bleached and toned.
When people say...."my hair doesn't react well to bleach"....just because they want to go from black to platinum in one session 🤣
Like yes girl, I wouldn't react good to chemical burns too.
It's ludicrous... 😂.. Never ceases to amaze me.

you just have to know good colour theory to achieve the colour you want! unless you want it to be pastel then of course you will need to be a level 9-10, especially for cool toned colours
also, if you’re having problems lightening the hair over multiple sessions, it likely has to do with the resistant porosity of your hair, especially if it’s very healthy, but the strength of the bleach should open the cuticle right up and allow it to lift the pigment out, so i’m not sure how it couldn’t work.

Gotta say, I've used Color oops with success (not sure how different it is from what she used) but i ~think~ what contributes to the dryness is the shampooing....3 times in one sitting, plus she did another session, so 6 times in 2 days?? My hair would be quite dry too!
She’s so pretty with her white skin tone and pretty eyes, the black, the brown, look gorgeous
I’ve learned so much watching your videos, I knew this wouldn’t work!
It took me LITERALLY 3 weeks to get the color remove smell out. Smelled like rotten eggs. 🤢
I've learned so much from watching your videos, I enjoy and appreciate you
Not going to lie, I thought when it said 'black to blonde with no bleach' that she would pull out a wig?! Bless her for having to learn these mistakes herself! 🤗💖
I haven't finished the video yet but I'm gonna assume that she's gonna get discouraged because she won't be platinum with this color remover and then just dye her hair black again 😂
Your so great at this, I love watching, so helpful too, great hairdresser ✌️
Thanks sweet Hair Buddha! ❤️🇳🇱❤️
I'm so glad to hear you recommend a bleach bath. It's such an under used method. So much more efficient with certain desired results.
Likely the best way for her to embrace her unpigmented ("grey") hair is to cut a lot of that dyed hair off and trim off the dyed hair as it grows out. Or shave her head 😜
I predict a crazy outcome to her attempt.
I just learned a bunches of things I didn't know...THANK YOU!😻
The biggest tip I can give anyone dying their hair dark brown or black when it comes to doing the root touch up don't just cover the whole head of hair with that dark dye because you are adding another layer of pigments to the mids and ends every time you do it so if you decide you want to change the colour in the future it will be so much harder to get all those added pigments layered up on your hair if you need to dye roots then just do your roots don't over lap then when you are rinsing it out the colour will lightly wash over your minds and ends and refresh the colour anyway without adding loads more un needed pigments
3:10 Yay, Rachel! Floor troll. LOL
501 Every Hair Buddha episode I realize how much I don't know about hair. 😂
Rachel Maksy was just removing hair dye. She was going back to red. Also if you watched that you saw it didn't completely work. She's corrected it since.

Yes I have learned from this video, don’t keep messing around with your hair colour. Use a professional hair colourist. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👍❤️🤣
love that explanation on whitening hair, needed to hear it
The lay people of the world have no clue the complexity of the Art of hair!! Entertaining H.Budha!! P.s. you are reaffirming my knowledge of my profession. Thanks my cohort in beauty😎🌞
This young lady is so lovely as with her first hairstyle. I started coloring my hair after having kids so I understand wanting the change
Wow... so interesting 😳 so much to learn. Thank you 🙏
Hi hair Buddha! Nice to see you again, I think all these women that want to go blonde are asking for miracles!,,, 🤣🤣🤣
She could have avoided all this if she had done a stand test first. 🙄
Henna is great, but make sure you want to stay red, because it is well nigh impossible to remove.
Wow, 500k plus followers...how cool.
Love your hair care videos, I have learned so much. And your travel videos of you and the family are great.
😊
Y liked this video very much
Myself can not use haircolors dye cause of hennah use which does better for my hair.
About the gray hairs
Yve read about it that the taking away pigments from the follicle is connected to the liver.
Several weeks after using color oops, I couldn't take that sulfur smell any more and colored it with garnier to get rid of the smell.
Feels like you are the father figure for all our hair, you are here to protect hair 😊🤗. Or the hair godfather !!
I love when he says "oh no no no noooo" 🤣🙌
I'm utterly confused! I thought she liked the brighter, redish brown after 2x colour remover. I thought she would try to get the rest of her the lengths the same. And she ends up with the same colour she had.... well, if it makes her happy 🤗
Have a good weekend!
Greetings from Italy( Toscana)!!!🤗
Just a small note. Mammals cannot produce green or blue pigments for their hair. Natural brown and black hair doesn't include blue, which is why you never see it when you bleach natural hair and why black dye on blond sometimes looks unnatural and green. It's just different intensities of yellow and orange which means technically everyone is ginger 😊
This is actually why tigers are orange rather than green but are still camouflaged as the deer they hunt are red/green colour blind.
What cool pigments do we have? (We= mammals)
She looked darker again the next day
I love how you always know whats gonna happen
They should be listening to you! Drives me crazy lol 😆 😅🤣😂
😊 Thank you for teaching us what not to do 😊
I love the way you say blonde 😆 your just the best love watching your videos 🇬🇧
Entertained yes 🙌 hahaha and learned .. I like the suggestion of the bleach wash on her ends ✨😎
Im learning so much about science and biology?(maybe biology of the hair 😅) with him, i love it! 😊
Pretty sure I saw that Rachel Maksy video. It was a train wreck!! Even Rachel ended up being not happy with the results. Yikes!!
Just let them talk and you hear the actual amount of dye jobs. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I went to a salon that's well respected in my area
I am naturally dark blonde and wanted to go to ash blonde (not drastic)
The girl turned my hair clown orange
I had to go to another salon because I didn't trust the original girl after that and she didn't add enough toner
Another salon did the toner and now it looks ash blonde
Her hair only lifted to a level 4, deep brown with red highlights. It was patchy and needed some spot lifting, then only apply a matching color to her roots. No color should’ve been applied to the rest of her hair, it was too porous, would soak it right up. If she wanted to go blonde thereafter, she needed to wait a month, condition and bond fix it a lot, then have it professionally bleached and toned.
