The Alpina B6 and Audi RS7 are both 500+ hp, luxury rocke ships. The Alpina is capable of nearly 200mph, the RS7 will launch to 60 in 3.4 seconds. Both of these AWD monster "4 door coupes" combine seductive styling with a twin turbo V8. With sticker prices both at essentially $130k, how do these two luxury sedans compare? Check out this walkaround ownership comparison I filmed with the owner of this B6, we also filmed an ownership interview together in the car, and my full review!

I've only seen 2. 1 at the dealership and 1 at the Downtown Disney parking lot. I see a lot more B7s. Sad they're not true true Alpina's as they're built by BMW and not by Alpina at their plant besides the engine.
The wheels on all Alpina cars are baller
funny thing is the center cap is flimsy AF, making for really annoying 'taptaptaptap' sounds under 25mph. Otherwise, It has been great. 5 years & going strong.

Audi looks cheap inside , and outside looks like VW aerton which costs 50k less than a7. Otherwise I like more because of the hatchback door .

That Audi is very verrrryyyy nice and I am bmw guy. Btw 2016 b6 alpina has 600 hp and 590 torque. The b6 is by no means a basic bmw besides those two bmw badges/ the bare body style of the 650x. The car is built by hand. Just 1700 alpina vehicles were produced that year by just over 200 employees. The b6 is rare and imo eye candy compared to the Audi. However, that Audi is nearly flawless and would gap the alpina more than Cindy from grade school with her two front teeth before she got braces.
Nice comparison. I agree with your friend, the Alpena is better after depreciation. The rims are timeless on the B6 and you didn’t mention that the engine is hand built! Im split between them. Midwest roads suck so comfort suspension is nice but 190+ top speed is ridiculous the low end power of the RS7 is more useable. Both are a dreams compared to my daily driver.
Go for 2016+ B6, the power delivery is better, bigger brakes, more horsepower, wider wheels and trans refinement...
Alpinas (note spelling) do not depreciate. They only make 1000 per year.

You can't compare the Alpina with an RS7 bro, it doesn't go together, Alpina is a special breed. M6 goes with the RS7
Love the wheels on both cars. The Alpina wheels are timeless & the optional 21's on the RS7 fit the car perfect. As a M6 Gran Coupe owner who also considered the RS7, I'd like to see an M6GC vs RS7 comparo now. To see how they stack up.
Bruno Varandas M6 GC is very nice, sporty and luxury car, in my opinion M6 GC is a bit higher regarding luxury than Rs7, but Rs7 especially C7.5 has something new, sporty futuristic design, only that optics are outstanding in which not only Rs7, but audi is leader since first A5 was launched in 2007, M6 GC is outstanding supercar, but Rs7 especially C7.5 is more exotic and cocky,it’s just my opinion and nothing more, wish you all best

Yeah, if you want a numb driving experience. Sure, the RS7 is fast and it looks great, but it’s more of a missile than the B6.
without this longdistance talking it could be a nice test. So it's a parking-in-front-of-a-supermarket-interviewing with fast camera moves.

2016 B6 or newer jumps from 540hp and 540lb tq too 600hp and 590lb tq and is a lot faster probably would definitely beat the rs7 in every way if you go 2016 or newer
So a whole video of very lightly complementing the alpina while constantly saying it's inferior to the RS7 at the same time.
Alpina B6 is better vehicle, it is not a tuned M6. RS7 is a great vehicle but this is apples vs. Oranges. M6 is better comparison to RS7 not Alpina B6.

How do the maintenance costs compare? I’m actually looking at an M6 or RS7 but I’m concerned about outrageous regular maintenance and expendable costs, ie brakes/rotors etc. Any input for either model would be appreciated.
The other concern is the gearbox. I’ve heard the m6 is brutal to drive with the double clutch.
Im in the same boat. Looking at 15-17 model year M6 GC & RS7. And the M6 can be a little jumpy in bumper to bumper traffic, its part of the sporty character if you can dig it. The RS7 is the smoother of the two. All wheel quick starts vs the ability to drift the tail out. Its going to be my birthday present to myself.Good luck hunting !
Rollz 100 - sounds like you’ve heard the same thing. I think the Audi is the way to go, especially in Canada, as a daily drive. I believe the brakes/rotor costs are comparable at about $2500-$3000, but I think that’s for fronts only.
If you want low over head on.maintenance and still have power the looks etc I say go with infiniti or Lexus RC line ...reliable and not money pits like these two cars in the video ...imo
@@darrellmatthews5594 Infiniti?? What model have they ever made that is in the same stratosphere as an RS7? And Lexus RC is a real stretch, performance not in the same league. RC is an S6 competitor. I won’t argue with you on reliability though.

He said it backwards the rs7 looks disgusting and old like a a7 but a little better the bmw 640 looks way better then the rs7
too much similarities between Audi and VW for them to really stand out to me. almost look the exact same
The difference is obvious. The rs7 appeal to younger crowds like people in their 30s and the alpina appeal to people in their 50s and up

I just bought a new S4 and for some reason couldn’t stand the new Quantum Gray. It has a brownish tone to it vs the Nardo. Ended up with a Tango Red one, by far the best (non-custom) color made for the B9 in my opinion.

waitwuttt it’s been replaced by the previous owner which is why it was the lowest priced b6 on the market at the time of purchase.

For luxury yes the B6 is alright, but let’s be real here, nothing can compare to the BMW M6 Gran Coupe, that is the real comparison.

Is it just me or we just have a bunch of BMW fan boys here? The ALPINA..looks like every BMW 7-series since 2008. They all look the same--It's all a nothing-burger. You cannot compare these two cars together--no matter how modified that BMW is. The RS7 is wayyyy out of its league. Want the proof? Race them!🤣🤣
What are you talking about? The Alpina is a beast for a daily driver unlike other bmw's. Second, real car enthusiast would never compare any regular bmw to an Alpina there literally hand made. You probably don't own one my m6 broke down all the damn time. Not saying it's better than Rs7 but, stop hating.
Alpina is about the engine not looks (except interior). It is bespoke. You want flashy, look at M. Everyone knows M is relative to RS, not sure why they compare with Alpina.
