This is amazing!!! I’m still overwhelmed with all the new HUD layout and I get a bit overwhelmed with park planning but I’m hoping to finally move from PC to PC2 very soon!!
I came to planet coaster so late. Planet coaster 2 was announced just a few days after I got the first. Just admiring the talent people have on these games is a guilty pleasure, i must say. I really need to step up my game, cram in years of experience in a couple weeks.
Thank you for checking out my build! I will add that the blueprint does have pathing but I customised them so that it was slightly hidden (as the paths didn't look good without the overlay) :)
@@Channel5Gaming I actually agree with the feedback regarding queues; I just felt that the way you talked about them was pretty harsh. Maybe it's just your history of working as a tester for games coming through. There's a big difference between saying something like, "Man, I'm really disappointed that once again they didn't bother to include a queue," compared to, "You know what would make this even better? Including a themed queue in the blueprint!" (nether of those are direct quotes).
This channel is awesome, wish I found it sooner. Keep it up, all so inspiring and thank you for showing how things are done. Learning things didn't know was possible!
@@Channel5Gaming Did some videos for my work and noticed errors and mistakes right after delivering it. Know that. But imho it shows that you are as excited as we are for planco 2 content. Cheers ;)
Awesome flat rides everyone! I especially love the Madman one! :) Thanks for the spotlights! I left off the queues to keep the blueprints more simplified, so you can kind of drop them anywhere. That's also the reason I didn't add music, it's easy enough to add in-game if the player wants to. In my mind it is a bit of a disconnect between designing for a spotlight versus designing with a small footprint for players to drop in game. I guess you could always delete/change stuff though. Probably should have at least created some small themed queues for them, and could have also themed the ride platforms better, but just trying to get my feet wet and experiment, and get some things up on the workshop as well. Thanks again for the feedback though and for taking a look at them! I can say that my next flat ride skin will not have the issue of not having a themed queue, lol. It's fully themed and has basically morphed from a single flat ride skin into a 4k mini-park with two flat rides (including a story-telling drop tower), a lazy river, and a couple of shops. Hopefully will finish it up in the next few days so look out for that one!
All good, in my opinion the entrance / exit + que and decorated que is exactly what i would want done going into campaign to save me time. Yes the footprint would be smaller without it, but the player still has to now plan and think where to put it anyways. Having it already there, just allows you to 1 shot it into the park and be done. Massive quality of life imo.
Love the changeable patterns. An idea if they were to update this is to add the ability to download and use custom patterns.Maybe add the option to download a png image to use. edit:typo
they are adding in an update tracked ride and transport ride customization similar to how flat rides and coaster cars are able to be customized it is in the first major update coming in december
@@Channel5Gaming Remember that Pirate park you featured where you had to ride the tram to get into the park entrance? So I can see those trams being themed to match the rest of the areas.
These builds make me hope that madhouses, tower of terror, Intamin dynamic motion stage (flat rides that are heavily themed irl) will be added someday even more than I initially did. Imagine how cool it would be to have like a madhouse contest, all with different interiors, queues and exteriors. Different programming within the showbuilding… Or the Intamin dynamic motion stage, which has recently debuted with Danse Macabre at Efteling and it looks like a super versatile flat ride/show ride model.
Planet coaster 2 has just gone all out with the ability to translate everyone's imagination. It feels like we are venturing into the unknown, and that's just so exciting!
You can theme the queue and have it part of the blueprint... You just have to add the scenery to the ride, which you can do by double clicking the ride. There also should be a button for it on the last tab in the ride menu. The last way you can do it is using the multi select tool (Press I and then hold shift and click or use the button on the bottom left to initiate the select stuff function then use the button to change it to select multiple objects.)
You know what I'd love to make...? (If there was a theme park game that allowed this) I'd love to make a virtual version of Kentucky Kingdom's Musical Carousel, a carousel where, instead of animals, you ride on musical instruments! And not only that, but each instrument has a rocker setup underneath, so you can rock back and forth, like riding a rocking horse 😊
Yeah, that is where I remember it. On the PS1 back in the day. And one of those games uses the slide as their main icon. I think it was OpenRCT2 and they just changed it in there recent update.
And I thought the little bumper cars I made looked alright… Still, need to start somewhere. I did become quite good at coasters in the first game. But I never built all that much. Now, I do force myself to try a bit more. It’s amazing how this game offers all these infinity flat ride options. It makes for gorgeous creation.
PlanCo 1 knowledge is my expertise, I was in that game for 8 years right up to the release of this one. Ive only had like 2 hours to play Planet Coaster 2 so far, so it's not that I forgot I just havn't learnt yet :)
It's a lot easier to criticize other people's work than it is to do the work yourself. 😂 It honestly seems that the most difficult part of Planet Coaster 2 is learning how to navigate the user interface.
they are simply suggestions, I highlight what I love and what I think could help elevate builds. I consider this constructive and positive. :) Have a great day!
Have you played planet coaster 1? xD It's much more flexible in this game, just a bit confusing at first. I'll look into a pathing guide in the future :)
Does anyone know how to get on his discord?!?!?! I’ve spent over an hour trying to figure this out. No links, there was a code posted 6 years ago but instructions no longer work. Please send help. I’ve spent over 10 hours just to submit something and now I can’t 😭😭😭😭
Tilt-A-Whirl is a trademarked name and as such, Frontier would not only have to get permission to use it but also pay a licensing fee per copy of the game. So all ride type names are fictitious to what they actually are in real life to avoid needless cost increases.
I did the mistake of buying this ''game'' even though i say i wouldn't....To look around you HAVE to push in the scroll button. You don't have a choice, at least if you are on a pc. The most horrible button on a mouse and you can not even change it. (total insanity) The colors are so mute and ugly and blurry, and no way to change it. The menus are pure backside-droppings because the game is made for CONSOLS and they were sooo LAZY that they just ported it over to pc. I am 100% sure this was made for consols first. And its soo ugly. Before we had SHARPNESS now we have a BLUR. Everything is blurry.......If i can stop even just one person from buying this consol-game i am happy, They should call it 'Planet Pools' instead...... My hopes for Planet Coaster 3 in 10 years are ZERO.
You can turn off the motion blur/field of depth and they announced a whole list of lil fixes, mainly for PC players, to improve controls, ect. They are listening to the complains and are doin their best to do the community good. Maybe dive in after the patch in december.
@@nicolaischramm3876 They are turned off, and Nvidia sharpness on max. Its like they put a filter on pc 1, and then muted all colors.... I hold left click and right click together to look around. This was in planet coaster 1 and 2. Much better than middle mouse click, I always end of breaking my scroll wheel when games force this.

The fact that the queue comes with the blueprint is such an improvement!

right! :D wait tell next week!
