      Keep in mind that he also croaked relatively young and that helps make him a legend. A lot of people think Kurt Cobain was a genius, I find almost all of Nirvana's songs to be low-effort mundane "procedure" at best. Much to Frank Zappa's credit he was supposed to actually be creative :)

    At the time, I have to be honest, Zappa seemed overreationary and paranoid. But now in retrospect you can clearly see all he was worried and warning us about is happening and it all started in the '70's and '80's. By the late '80's Zappa had clearly had enough. I wish more of us had taken him seriously and worked harder to change and correct the crooked path US politics has taken over the last 50 years.

      Nope. This whole "woke" takeover of every industry has been a scam. it's not genuine liberalism, it's still the same blatantly rightwing billionaires who own all these corporations... snap out of it. "Woke" is a media branding developed by the right and big business to undermine liberalism. They've blocked real artists and craftspeople from being able to get work anymore and just manufacture junk with software and make blatantly ridiculous "content" and opinion movements via social media. Money see, monkey do, to some extent, but mainly it's the media creating and spinning out this entire circus. This is not liberalism, it's all been co-opted and undermined, and now the far right are making power grabs around the world with billionaires owning literally everything, including our personal information and lives down to the smallest details. Please get wise to what's going on, stop just mindlessly being strung along by this media operation like everyone else.

    Its funny how the political parties have reversed since then...

    • @DM-kv9kj
      @DM-kv9kj 18 днів тому

      They haven't though, political parties are all one and the same circus. It's still right wing billionaires owning the media (many are still literally the same old men too like Murdoch...) and modern software and internet tech has now allowed them and corporations to completely dominate every single industry. They no longer need to bother seeking out, hiring and paying actual artists or craftspeople to make anything worthwhile anymore, they can just crank out anything they like (superficially of course) using software and dogsbody graduates on laptops. They've co-opted the music, movie and every other industry, created this whole "woke" braded media circus to undermine liberalism and spread endless confusion, misinformation and weird aggressive opinioneering via social media for the last 2 decades. It's ALL the same elites in charge of all of this, and political parties are just two sides of the same coin and have been since at least the late 70s.
      What's more concerning now than ever though is the sheer number of people, like yourself, utterly fooled by this whole play. You even still think the "Republican" party and the "Democrat" party are actually two separate entities with opposing views. They aren't. They're just a pretense of choice, both owned by the same multi-trillionaire families who literally OWN global financial institutions and all the giant corporations that equally run economies, now globally too.
      Please, for the love of god, snap out of it and read between the lines.

      And yet some right wingers have tried to claim him for their own in recent years. Anyone familiar with his work or thinking knows this isn't true. Now, with Moon's book, she has confirmed it. She mentions how Frank and Gail were almost violently opposed to anyone in the family voting Republican.

    He is never “funny”. He is sarcastic, he hates people, he thinks and perhaps he was of superior intelligence to most people. I feel sorry for his children. I don’t think he was capable of love. He did make some incredibly amazing music

    He speaks as if there is an absolute morality. He is right, while rejecting it. He declares sin (violation of the perfect law) while promoting it. He thinks he is god. Too bad for him.

      He quite literally does not speak as though there is an absolute morality. You just made that up only to tear it down. One can have strong opinions while still not believing them to be "absolute" in any sense. Your comment is skits.

      Women cheat on their partners all the time too. People are human...my gf cheated on me after a year apart in different countries. I understood, forgave her because she was obviously very sorry about it and it in fact strengthened our relationship. Welcome to life, no human being is some paragon of virtue perfection, accept it and you'll understand life, yourself and others a lot better and be a far more understanding and caring person.

      Yeah, it's so annoying when anyone tries to talk about reality and actual issues. It makes me feel scared and confused, so instead of facing reality, learning, growing up properly and making some kind of effort to do my bit for the betterment of society...I just convert all that confusion and fear into hate and annoyance at the person talking about it.

    Now in late 2024, Franks words are more accurate and prescient the ever. About the media, dictatorship, the religious right, he had nailed it decades ago. A huge fan of both his music and wisdom.
