There are just more graduates so companies are more picky. No offense to Unix but he wasn't doing psychometric tests and one way AI interviews to get borderline minimum wage jobs.
Hire people at a lower cost, train them, and then you'll have qualified people. Half of these cyber companies are outsourcing the "entry" level positions to other countries like India or the Philippines.
There are more jobs but less qualified people. People are buying into the whole "get into cyber in 6 months with one online course" the content creation market, I believe has done more harm than good promising more than what they can deliver and capitalizing on people that want to get a six figure career.

Would you still recommend doing the CCNA Course to learn about Networking - i still think its good to have.
