    • @natashtepa
      @natashtepa  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi there. Since this program is new and unique, there are no estimated processing times, which are usually based on historical data.
      The only indicator for to track you application’s progress is to check its status on your PR portal. Keep in mind, that if the status is Submitted, it means that the immigration officers haven’t started working on it yet. Once they do, the status will change to In Progress. This will be the first step. And mostly from there it should move faster.
      Hope this helps:) Let us know if you have any more questions

      Regarding the fees, they were only waved for the emergency situation - when the war began and it was critical to get to safety as soon as possible.
      In case of PR, it is assumed that the applicant is already in safety (in Canada).
      I must mention though, that even though there is a fee for PR application, it is still lower for this program compared to others. It consists of two parts, and first part is the same - right of permanent residency fee is $515. But the application submission fee is different: standard application processing fee is $870 where here you are required to pay $550.
      Are you planning to apply?

      Email notifications will be sent out when the status of your application changes or additional information is requested. In the beginning your application is just “submitted”. Thank you for the detailed guide. Just above the Statutory Declaration IMM 0191, see at the top of the screen at 14:59 of this video, it specifically states: "...Do not print and scan any of these forms..." It is kind of misleading, because there is no way around without printing it. I called to a commissioner of oaths, they accept printed forms only. Do you have anything to add on this? I guess it wasn't just me, there might be many other people who stumbled upon this clause.

    • @natashtepa
      @natashtepa  4 місяці тому +1

      Hi there. It’s a very good catch, thank you for pointing it out!
      The comment does say that there might be exceptions and suggest to refer to program guide to check those exceptions.
      Generally, if you’re submitting an online application , majority of forms have to be filled online using fillable adobe documents. The only form that I can assume needs to be printed is Statutory Declaration attesting your relationship with Canadian resident/citizen. The reason being, it needs to be authorized/notarized by an official. I can see it being done through printing, stamping a physical copy and then scanning and uploading it to the portal.
      Hope this helps. And let me know if you have any further questions:)

    • @ivanko663
      @ivanko663 4 місяці тому

      @@natashtepa Thank you, I guess this might imply that this form could also be sent for signing to the commissioner for oaths, public notary, etc. However not all of them are willing to step away from paper. Thank you for your video. May I know if uploading a police certificate is compulsory for the application as it is a lengthy process to obtain one? I noticed that police certificate is not listed among the required documents that are mandatory to be uploaded in order to submit the application (such as passport, proof of status, birth cert etc). Also, in the checklist (IMM0190), under other documents, it says "police certificate, if applicable". Thanks in advance for any info!

    • @natashtepa

      That is a good point! The guide does say, “if applicable”. For other PR programs you are required to provide a police certificate from the countries you’ve been permanently living in for at least 6 month in the last 10 years.
      So it is safe to say that this program will require it as well

      Hi there. I understand your concern, it is very frustrating to not have a clear answer.. I would encourage you to keep waiting and check your status. If it is Submitted, it means that your application hasn’t been opened yet. One it changes to In Process this will mean that the officer started working on it and things should get moving soon.

If you want to sponsor those people eventually, you should provide that info. If you don't apply with your spouse, you should not add them as a dependent. Same for children

      Hi there. Great question!
      The application allows you to add several dependents to the main applicant profile. When adding a dependent, they’ll be asked to specify the relationship to the main applicant. The list of dependents includes children, partners, parents, grandparents etc.
      Your sister may be the main applicant and include her family members as dependents (spouse and child). However, it appears that parents need to submit their own application as they are not legally dependent on your sister.
