    This is known as Power Line Carrier Communication.
    Very high frequency signal superimposed on the power frequency and we seperate both atthe substation using wave traps and capacitive voltage transformer. Wave trap and CVT is connected is parallel forming an tank circuit and we can change the vary capacitance to tune the tank circuit.

    May i am wrong. I think CVT used to step down the voltage with a ratio(like CT) then it will used monitor the line voltage, protection and also for check the power consumption

    Bro communication wire is used separately & it's present on the top of tower...which protect our conductor from lightning as well

      no... thats neutral line .. used for lighting ... becoz if we use it for communication and when lightining strikes it .. it will disturb the communication ... so as per my opinion we cant use that a communication line ....

      Ac Motors are generally of two types : 1) Synchronous and 2) Induction
      Synchronous motor rorates at Synchronous speed which depends on the frequency of volatge applied.
      While Induction Motor work on the principle of induction. In Induction Motor rotor is not connected with any supply directly or Conductively and Emf is induced in rotor due to the rotating magnetic field in stator. ( Same as induced Emf produced in secondary of transformer due to supply in primary)
      So in both the motor the frequency is required to work and that's the reason it will not work on dc ( the frequency of dc is Zero ideally)

      So the design of the motor is the most important factor and it will decide whether the motor will work on AC or DC.

      MVA- megavolt ampere = 10^6 VA
      KVA - kilovolt ampere = 10^3 VA
      Both are just used to represent high value power in transmission and generation. The unit VA indicates that this is Apparent Power.
