Maroondah Brass - Uncut

Dear Viewer,
we have just been given this video file from a recent concert we played in March 2017 at the Burwood Heights Uniting Church.
This video was taken by two of the gentlemen associated with the Church, and we thank them for this great resource and their great work in doing what they do.
While the video captures all that we did, it was unable to capture the sound overly well with clarity and balance suffering somewhat.
And you will also notice that there is the slightest delay in sound and movement between sound and conductor.
The band, while playing really well across the entire program also featured a number of soloists which were all great. But overall it isn't to perfection with the odd; tuning issues, untidy entries, split or missed notes are all there to be heard.
We know what could have been better.
However it is to a standard that I, as the bands conductor, are happy with and to put it online for people to watch and listen.
Despite my personal feelings and not being comfortable because of my own appearance and body shape. I could not deny the band an opportunity to show people out there what we do.
As the conductor of Maroondah Brass, I can tell you that we have an awesome bunch of people and it is my privilege to conduct Maroondah Brass.
I was very pleased with how the band performed this day, and also all of our wonderful soloists who did such an awesome job. I'm sure you will agree as performing as a soloist is nerve-racking at the best of times, and for our band to put up six soloists is a mean feat for any band. Not to mention the well played cameo solos within a band piece.
So please, just enjoy it for what it is; natural, uncut, unedited, live performance - bumps and all.

The band very much enjoyed playing at BHUC and to a wonderful audience, so we thank Edith and the team for their hard work bringing it all together, and the yummy afternoon tea.
