After my divorce, and good fleecing by the women's court system, I started looking for ways to protect myself from a divorce if I were to get married again. At best, with a ton of work, you can protect some assets. If you are W2 worker, you are screwed. Retirement is no different. Have a pension, the judge smiles as it's going to be her pension. Did she earn it? No. Gets it for being present. The contract defines our role as nothing more than a labor and wage slave as well as her target for emotional abuse. In divorce, the court sees you as her indentured servant. Stay single. Get your cords cut.

Yes, I completely agree. After a divorce where I lost primary custody of my children, alimony for 6 years then child support for a decade plus lost over 50% of everything I owned it won't happen again. And amazingly just like this video suggested the divorce happened at those peak income years.

Marriage used to be a sacred commitment. Today, it's merely a formal contract in a world where your marriage success rate is less than 50/50. I retired at 48 and live a very comfortable and happy blessed life where if I get bored I book a trip to somewhere. I'm 56. I'm single. No kids. I will never marry. I value my freedom.

Marriage is not even a contract, in the eyes of the law, at least in Florida. One of the terms of the contract is no adultery. And yet, if a woman commits adultery and thus violates the terms of the contract, she still gets the benefits of the divorce: alimony, a cut of the shared property, and so forth.

Yes I was hearing these odds many years ago. Let me put it this way. I probably need back surgery for the pain I'm in. Surgeon (to his credit) says I'd have a 50/50 chance of being better post op'. That of course means theres just as much chance of coming out of it worse. Hence... I'll deal with the pain I've got. No way I'll risk it getting worse.
Let's face it, even 60/40 wouldn't see most rational people rushing into it. Once I start hearing odds of at least 70/30 I'll stay where I am thanks.

Women hold 80 percent of the world's debt and initiate 70 percent of all divorce actions in the U.S. The odds of getting divorced in America are about 50/50 and if you get divorced and there are children from the marriage the man is virtually guaranteed to lose HALF of his life savings and property in the women’s court system and be on the hook for child support and possible alimony for decades. A middle class man with an above average income can very easily end up living in a van down by the river while his ex-wife lounges in their comfortable home at his expense. The odds of all this happening to men is literally the same as a coin toss. Let that sink in.

As my wife’s health is in the decline, we both anticipate her to pass before me. I sure would struggle to even want to “find” another love. Superb video, and summary of facts, Mark. The shocker was how much debt woman have!! I used to know a hard-working pipeline welder that made big bucks out in the field welding pipelines; His wife divorced him, kept the two kids, and looked forward to big monthly alimony: so this guy sold everything remaining, quit his career, and just did odd jobs for cash. Wow, was she mad at him then!

~ Text-Wall Incoming ~ I'm divorced, and I can confirm everything you've said is 100% facts. To the single men I say, this information is invaluable, I wish I would have heard it when I was younger, it would have saved me a lot of wasted time and effort, and a lot of frustration and heartbreak..... women have an almost predatory nature. I'm not saying they are good or evil, I'm just saying they've evolved to Survive. And we've been programmed to protect them. And they know it, use it, and abuse it. I am glad to see men waking up and putting out the truth of the current situation with "no fault divorce", women's hypergamy, and female nature. They've told us to our face that we're the problem and they don't need us. It's about time we renegotiated our role in society, based on our true worth, not the feverish ranting of blue haired man haters. Without men, there is no civilization, we created it, we maintain it, and now we take a step back until they realize it to.
TLDR: Relax, don't do it, when you ..... etc.

I read the Comments. One fellow wrote: "There’s a lot of appeal to statistics here, mixed with a cup of over-generalization and a dash of fantasy. I met my wife in college and knew pretty quickly that I wanted to be with her. We dated and got engaged over the next two years in school, and were married after we graduated. After 55 years of marriage, she died of cancer earlier this year. Moral: trust your gut when it comes to individuals, and happy endings are possible."
I wrote in Reply: “Respectfully, I believe Mark is speaking about marriage TODAY. Nearly everything about dating and relationships in our culture has changed over the past 50 years. One would have to be willfully blind not to see it.
Most of my male friends have been married for decades and they simply do NOT understand this. I have been single for the past dozen years. I have firsthand experience with modern dating in America. It stinks. I have also had experience with dating in Southeast Asia. It's better. Much better.
Yes, happy endings are possible. But not likely. And that's exactly what the statistics demonstrate.
Statistics are NOT fantasy. They are far more reliable than opinions - even your own.
Please don't make the mistake of giving your 'gut' more credit than it deserves. The fact is: You were fortunate, that's all. Most men are not so fortunate.
Condolences on your loss. You can be grateful every day for what you had. And you don’t ever have to remarry in the USA - no matter what your 'gut' may tell you!”

This is too true, in Australia also, and probably the rest of the western world. Women have always been the one who can pick and choose. The online women who say they want a good man is a load of shit.

If you're about to enter into any sort of relationship with a woman the first thing you need to do is pull a hard credit report on her to find out exactly how much she owes and to whom. Even if you're not getting married there's a lot of ways for that woman to saddle you with part if not all her debt.

Not worth getting married today woman expect a prince who will pay for everything and let her take control
In today's economic environment r moment a couple both need c to work due to house prices or rent
If a guy gose through a bad patch she dumps jim becouse he is off no use to her
Family court system is all about looking after the woman
If a guy stays single works and saves he could retire a lot younger if he isint married

I’ve been unhappily married for most of 35 years. If I could go back to a time before 1989, I wouldn’t go near the woman I married. I know the standard question: Why didn’t you (or don’t you) just get divorced? I would need to write a tome.

Marriage: from the Bible, it was set up for one man and one woman. Originally, it was handled by the church. Once we allowed the government in...today it's open season to marry anyone, anytime, anywhere and any species. There's your trouble! We have sold our souls to the evil one! Return marriage to the church. Wth? Love was not part of marriage? That's jaded! Do what you must do during this life- knowing your eternity will be only one of 2 places: Heaven or Hell! God bless❤🙏

When I was in elementary school I read a classic Chinese literature book about bad marriages. It was actually a satire of political situations in Ming Dynasty that I didn’t realize. I got a bad taste in my mouth about marriage. Watching my parents marriage wasn’t helping to overcome the bad taste. I am retired and remain single. Marriage can work between two maturing and compassionate adults with common goals. I saw decent marriages amongst ppl I know in my life. However the chance of having a partner who doesn’t want to stay is mighty high. I have high level of risk aversion therefore I’d rather not chance it. Being single is not necessarily better; it’s just a different lifestyle. Stop envy or bitterness would help with creating positive energy.

Of course it's a dying institution--it's been dying for a long, long time. The fact of the matter is that as soon as a society permits divorce, that society destroys marriage. There's no reason anymore to be careful about your choice of a spouse, and so most people are not.

  • @williammoses6460

Ah, the invisible hand of the market comes to marriage. There is a surplus of women so of course they are willing to share a man. My question is why a guy would want two full time spouses.

Women are close to 100% of the problems in marriages and relationships. Many times after divorcing their husband they come crawling back many years later. I've got 2 ex's doing exactly that. Both alcoholics. And one was in jail for almost a year for not showing up in court for a DUI arrest. So when women say "I don't need no man" it's laughable.
