I bought a VW Transporter T6 Kombi Highline van 140bhp diesel SWB with tailgate.
I have lots more to do though, I have a new electrical system, using Victron components and a Lithium LIFEPO4 battery, so I obviously need to install some power devices. I have a new sound system, with Focal speakers and ibus 2.1 amp, Playstation PS4, which will be removable, TV's on headrests.
Lots for me to look forward too and it would be nice to take you on the journey.
Vanlife for me is just beginning, it's a great adventure and I'm loving it. 😍

I am also a biker and that helps a lot, I follow Pavlov of "Motorcycle Adventures" who talks about "travelling light" we take 6 kg for 2 on a weeks biking. I apply this philosophy to my campervan too and it really works. Do you really need that kitchen sink and all the other crap?....is the first question. Once you go down that road it is easy. Leave the bloody TV at home...or just take the TV, close the curtains and sit in your van sad-ow. We live in this world of narcissism where "I must have it" when you really don't need it. If you want to windsurf, get a roof-rack, bicycles a bike rack...or take a TV and pretend you are adventurous.

Here’s a tip for you. Get made up big cushion covers to stuff your bedding in. Then you can use them as backrests.

Agree with the securing a load. We have a Bluetti and I use climbing tape and karabinas to secure it to the vehicle cargo hooks.

@StaycationLifestyle great points made. Several years ago I carried out a few modifications of my own. I cut to size a shelf and installed in the wardrobe. I purchased a Fiamma ultra box 500 onto my fixed bike rack that can take up to 80kg. I installed a cutlery draw and many more items. If you have an email address I'd be happy to share with you, this way to can share with other followers as I have no desire to start my own UA-cam channel.

We use the table store wall brackets. Fits neatly on the tailgate. 👍🏻 As it just showed in the video. 🤦🏻♂️🤣

Get a LWB van and make it a child-free zone - these are my top tips for maximising van space. If you're brave you could also jettison the wife.
