I'm so glad more people are getting to play this!
Some are better, some are less so, but they sound similar enough that the wider soundscape and less bitcrushing makes it an overall improvement.
That sax is lovely, the bongos are funky, and the funk guitar is groovy. I love the bigger emphasis on the "night wave" electronic vibe for the more electronic tracks.
The biggest and most notable improvement to me is Fate change variation, it's super noticeable when it comes on and kicks the tempo and mood in to high gear.
More of my favourite tracks are complication, dashing enigma, the imprisoned and Cabanela's theme of course.
Agreed, tho my vote for most elevated is Dead Afterimage. Dramatic and delicate, it keeps the intensity the moment needs. I LOVE the addition of the time rewinding sfx
Its hard to say, which one is better. For me the big part of the soundtrack was the aliasing and distortion of the NDS, since there is almost no interpolation of the samples. It is the same case for the Phoenix Wright soundtrack - the remastered versions in the PC Trilogy releases just do not hit the same way, they seem less powerful somehow. It is all just personal taste though, after all.
@@_TZEOL I'd agree, and especially in reference to the PWAA osts, some people probably prefer the GBA original osts for a similar reason.
As someone familiar with GT from before the remaster, I do definitely like the more DS-y feel, but some remastered songs are either on par with or a bit better than the original. All in all though, still fun to listen to- especially back-to-back with the original ost!
Unpopular opinion: I much prefer this over the original soundtrack, I feel like going more electronic is the way to go
The next Ace attorney game needs to have a strong electronic soundtrack like this imo.
@@AscensionINC-zi1jz But they made the Ghost Trick OST like this precisely to give it a distinct identity from Ace Attorney. Besides, they already dialed back the Dual Destinies orchestration for Spirit of Justice.
@@Gabo2oo Yes they did change the ost in Soj a bit more but it was not enough imo. They can both have distinctively different electronic soundtracks without sounding the same imo just like Ace attorney was in the past.
Thank you for posting the changed titles. I've updated my uploads accordingly. I think you missed that the PROLOGUE, INTERMISSION, and EPILOGUE tracks had their names changed too, though.
The changed PROLOGUE title is already in the description, and there's no official new name for INTERMISSION, since it's not in the In-Game music player, which is where all of the new song titles come from.
However, I did miss the changed Epilogue title.
Thanks for commenting and letting me know!
Edit: Actually, It's correct the way it was.
There is no INTERMISSION and EPILOGUE in the Music Player, so that means no new names for these tracks. I misremembered.
However, your uploads titled them nicely.
Also, it turns out that Jowd's theme was also given a new name! It's called "Jowd, Taken by Fate". I'll update the description.
I edited the comment again, seems like you didn't saw it, i'll post it again, turns out that Jowd's theme also has a new song title!
It's now called "Jowd, Taken by Fate".
I updated the description.
Hey, thanks @@Juan_3M3R . I don't check this account often, but I appreciate you checking for me.
Three daya ago..? This masterpiece of a game got a video about it... Three days ago?
Is this christmas?
You might have missed the remastered 😂
@@Kochen51now that you say it, you might be right lol
@@Juan_3M3R She'll see this eventually...
...right?
@@betablue5952 i guess theyre too busy playing the remaster now
No, THIS IS SPARTA!
I'm not surprised you actually pulled this video off 😄Well done man ^^ Ghost Trick is such a beautiful gem ❤
Not surprised?
Uhh
Thanks, I guess?
@@Juan_3M3R Well considering you helped fans by putting again online the video including all the ost made by JTPaper 😉😄
@@MystLgnd ah, I see.
Thanks for uploading the new song, was wondering what it was
Oh it's here! I was looking for this version of the soundtrack, thanks for posting it!
If I wanted to listen to more music that sounded similar to this, would anyone have any recommendations? Any artists or genres to check out?
Best Game Ever!!
Is THIS a music box?
Dios mio, "Trauma" debe ser uno de los mejores remix que he escuchado en la vida. Supera mucho al original ❤
Oiga, usted que hace aquí? Y se pregunta porque se spoilea XD
I think most of the original names sound cooler, but maybe that's just because I'm used to them. I like the reference in the new name for Missile's theme though.
SPOILER
Ray begins the explanation of his true identity with "let me tell you a story of a little creature..."
wdym, these are the same track names as the original game's ost
@@NiklinkThe timestamps in the first half of the description use the original names, but the latter half of the description lists all the new names from the remaster.
Yeah, and not all the names have a change because not all of the songs sre available in the game's music player
Also, better explanation, I used the original names on the timestamps. And listed the changed names at the bottom of the description.
I see, thanks all. PS you've misspelled 'beginning' as 'beggining' in a few places.
the ost you hear after reincarnation is missing...
they are actually two different osts
GHOST WORLD plays right after the Original Credits, and you can hear it whenever once you beat the game, by going to the Option's "Credits" option.
Nevermind, I omitted it while timestamping, my bad!
IS IT ON SPOTIFY YET????????
Nope
@@Juan_3M3R they really gonna make us buy the damn track huh
@@Powder-PointYup!
That was surprising tbh
Shame that, not only is it only the remastered tracks, its also JUST credited to Sugimori, instead of Sugimori AND Yasumasa Kitagawa, you know, the dude that rearranged the whole thing? Thats just... odd to leave out.
@@darkwolf7479 yeah i know, thanks though!
Interesting
Man gotta admit, I prefer the DS instrumentation for a lot of these
sourpuss :P
@@danielsher5439 redditor
The original feels more atmospheric and powerful. Like the bass being prominent is the best thing about the original. The arranged feels more electronic.
Same, most of the arranged osts just suck
@@Powder-Point Not sure where you got the idea "most" people prefer the original.
See I don't get people who hate fresh takes on old soundtracks. Who is gonna prefer the ds soundtrack when it was compressed into a tiny card? seriously it's not pretty to listen to especially in 2023.
It's the same for many other ds games really, it's not just this one.
Meanwhile you got this more hd like soundtrack that you will be able to listen without the earbleed. It will age better really.
But suit yourself if you prefer the older one. Most fans will be listening to the cleaner ost.
1:17:01 This is a sin, they took part of the epicity of my boy!!!
What are you talking about?? The original piece sounds so muted and MIDI-ish. This version is much punchier and provokes a stronger sense of urgency.
