It's very convenient as it combines everything related to the unit itself into one package and costs bugger all. Sold - as soon as I can get my hands on one............

Been using it traveling and it definitely is nicer to use as a travel brewer vs the original aeropress. Got one beef with it really - the 'lid' doesn't really hold the aeropress in the cup well at all. I'll demonstrate this in an update video soon

I like the Go version because it’s all “together”. I grind my beans in the morning, put into 2 sachets, leave the scoop at home. I then have it all to hand. Size isn’t the key consideration for me, it’s the overall package!

Can you throw in a link to your travel kitchen scale?

Can you demo the mug with the lid on and how much it leaks (or doesn’t)? I wanted to use the cup/lid as a travel mug after brewing coffee in my hotel room but now I have doubts after hearing your comments.

Oh it definitely would not work as a travel mug. The lid doesn't seal, it just loosely grips around the cup and does a decent job of holding the whole thing together. I've got an update video in the latest issue which i'll publish here before too long as well

    What kettle do you use?

I'm using a Fellow kettle - amzn.to/30dfjKm - stovetop version (in copper). Really great for pour over (not really necessary for Aeropress, but still makes pouring into it super easy)

Leaking? What do you mean? Are you planning to take brewed coffee inside with the instruments and filters? XD

I was thinking about cases where I need to pack the thing up again shortly after brewing. It would be nice if the whole thing could seal, so that this is actually possible to do w/o drying out the equipment as much as possible.
I've done a bit of brewing traveling with it now (and will be putting together a followup video soon). I'll have some related followup thoughts on that part.

@@Coffeeloversmag I get your point. I have never found myself in that situation, when I am brewing coffee on the go (ie, at the airport) there is always a trash bin to get rid of the remnants.
