Thanks for watching guys! Try Scrintal here: www.scrintal.com/?r=JoIVi They're increasing their onboarding number soon, so you should get an access soon if you sign up now :)
Steps to create visual notes by shu omi 1. write down the main idea 2. finds pic to act as a visual cue 3.Add colour to your notes to distinguish its type ,hierarchy . 4. Organise it into mind maps or mind palace.
I too am looking forward to Scrintal. I’m on the waitlist. Hopefully it turns out great and I’m excited to try it. Too bad google keep can’t do the same thing. I feel like it’s so close but google isn’t interested in this space as of yet it seems. Heptabase is an alternative for now but it’s costs a little. There’s also Tiago Forte’s channel where he has suggestions for types of apps. Maybe it’s was three posts ago, but he mentions several visual note taking apps. Maybe link some of those Shu =) keep it up!
A Download link to a web app, that is not not yet available for most people and require to be on a waiting list! No clear define price or premium features yet. Still the product look awesome and exactly what I have been looking for yet execpt for the fact taht is is web based, a huge problem with the website is taht you speedup your access to it through referal which is extremely scummy as a way to promote a web app that mostly only youtuber and influencer currently have acces to.
Visual Notetaking is a dead end. It's researched for the last 30 years i'm following it and it just doesn't work well beyond a simple example and maybe high school sized task and knowledge. For everything else it becomes a total mess. It's nice to focus a few parts but in the end, what you end up when you have more than a few hundert items is just: Lists and Outlines. Thats the way to organize. It's a bit gamification just like the otherwise worthless Knowledge Graph you find in Obsedian or all the hunderts of failed mindmapping tools.
Interesting, so what do you use or recommend? I agree that the obsidian graph is worthless because you can't do much. Scrintal is what I thought the obsidian graph would be.
@@staybalancedn Well i'm developing my own software because i have found nothing that fits well. My big problem is that for long term notes, you don't want your own written note, but the ones of others - the source that explains. Simple academic references. But of course you need to download and manage all this references locally because you will barely refind them again. Current Notetaking app are so weak in file attachment handling. Especially when you reorder your files, they all break and lose the connections. The best i found so far is "The Brain". Maybe my hate for attempts to visualize comes from the use of this program. 😅 But i need a lot more in structuring abilities. And the main ingredient is not searching, it's navigation and browing. Search and especially tagging require so much cognitive workload on your brain.

Great explanation. Clear and simple. Quite useful for those who would like to be more visual in their note-taking and don't know how 🙌
Glad it was helpful Daiana!

Hey, what highlighter you are using in chrome? Any video on your chrome extentions?
Why do you say that scrintal is one of the most popular apps when it is just accessible for a few selected users ?. 🤣
I've been on the waitlist since march (I think). Super frustrating.
for visual note taking i suppose
I have been waiting to be called in so I can use it for my academic projects. It’s gone and past and now using Heptabase instead.
@@zedk12s Thanks very frustrated with this new biz model of selective release Heptabase looks great I will give it a try
