- The Ron Eshcete Trio played an amazing night of music on July 18th, 2009. The trio included Ron Eschete - 7 String Guitar, Todd Johnson - 6 String Bass, and Kendall Kay - Drums. Wave is the second song of the set and Ron does some incredible chord work for this arrangement. The full DVD & CD is available at www.carterscps.com. Enjoy.
That bass player is a dangerous man. The Awesome Todd Johnson!!!
You are sooooo right. Monster bass player; zero doubt.
L 'élégance de ce trio rivalise avec l'inventivité. C'est la grande classe.
I love Ron's playing on these videos - I think he sounds like I would if I was good
Ron is the one of the greatest teacher I ever had with a heart of gold and his melodies show the beauty of his character too. I love every note he plays.. I'm So lucky that I was his student..
Thanks for your great comment. I had Ron do a few solos for me on the upcoming Wirechoir album and I was listening to them last night. They are amazing and inspiring.
From France Big Hands for Ron eschete For His Best Guitarplaying and Teaching .... Wish You The Best
band on fire
Ron is a fabulous guitarist, I am a retired jazz guitarist, I now live in France. I have most of his recordings. I think Todd Johnson was once taught by him.
Ronnie and Todd,, both of you are great teachers and friends., miss all the moment with both of you at MI. Take care and God bless.
Thanks for the post. Ron was just in the studio on Monday doing a few solos for my upcoming album with Wirechoir. Ron is now playing in an organ trio with Joe Bagg (on organ) and Kendall Kay (on drums). More DVD's and videos are on their way soon.
Amazing wonderful Guitarmusic, Melodic, deep in feeling and incredible swing
Superb Trio! Thank you!
Dolf
the balance is perfect everything about this is perfect
I've watched & listened to this so many times. You guys are absolutely smokin'
so much taste i wont be able to taste anything else now thanks ron!
I was lucky to have studied with Ron back in 1979-80 when he was teaching at GIT. He had a lot more hair back then :). Other teaches there were Joe Diorio, Don Mock, Tommy Tedesco to name a few.
Ulises in Monterrey, Mexico
Lovely mapson hope to see you in North Wales at some point Ron. There’s improvising then there’s improvising and harmonising it at the same time amazing.
Fabulous!!!
this is heaven
Nice sound!!!!!!!!!!!
Ron plays a 7-string guitar and plays bass lines behind Todd's bass solo and Todd, with his 6 string bass, plays chords and bass behind Ron's guitar solo
Amazing
Wow, what gutar tone; and harmony
Thanks for the info, I appreciate it
Cheers
still the best
wow really beautiful take at the song, i really like how he makes the melody sound kind of outside and out of tune. really nice
meraviglioso!
Wow!
scary chord progressions
nice Ron : )
i watch this for the wave the bass player actually pulls off
@cedarbob or you could get his book "Chord-Melody Phrases for Guitar" (: it's actually online and i hate to "steal" a musician's product, being one myself but there's no other i could get that on mexico. Anyways.. you can find it in taringa!
Feather light right hand touch. Surely he must’ve had to crank his amp in live situations.
cool : )
I'm a big fan...and I'd like to know what the guitar is that you are playing and are they still being manufactured?
paringatai it's a Mapson hand made and very rare
Sounds wonderfull. I guess since this is LIVE then someone chose not to show the other Bassist Who played behind the Bass solo, nor did they show the excellent guitarist who played chords behind Ron.
So who are those other musicians???
