Lovely little film guys, really enjoyed it. Perfect size boats for great fun. I haven’t sailed for a few years and I miss it but your adventure has inspired me. Stay groovy chaps and greetings from Essex UK. 🤙🏽
Great adventure! Can't wait for next week. Being at the mercy of the conditions and not knowing if you'll get home is very humbling. As long as you have an understanding boss!
One of the best sailing vids I have watched in a long time. I really love all of the work you have done on your boat. All of that hard work has paid off big time. But I must admit the cat your friend was driving is pretty sweet too. Kudos on the "drone" footage. Loved every minute. Cheers from Montreal QC
What a wonderful video! So many excellent shots of all three boats, and from different angles, and then edited with careful attention to continuity and timing. Kudos for the video. And then there re the boats - I have admired your G.I.S. in a previous video when you sailed with Edgar. Of course, since I have built a couple of the Wharram designs, I am a bit partial to Edgar's Hitia 14. Thanks for sharing this video - I look forward to the next one - your return journey.
Hi Ben! There is an area with strong gusts which is between Alhandra and Vila Franca de Xira. The wind just comes from the valleys and twists and swirls and it is usually a tricky place to sail past. But since there wasn't much wind the trip up was very peaceful.
We havent such a big river close( Volga is about 200 km from my hometown. We now have a plan to take 2-3 lasers to nearest reservoir which is big. But we can't take our club boats there, because of lack of infrastructure and good roads (
A friend of mine got permission from his wife by leaving Kit Aircraft magazines around the house. She said "remember when you were interested in boats".
You guys have beautiful boats and nice video camera stuff. The drone views are a nice addition to your selfie shots. Thanks for sharing. Texas
Thanks for watching Papa Jeff!

The Tagus is an amazing river. there are more beautiful places upriver but We can't reach there by boat.

Those cameras buddy... you are hitting high levels here.... I love it.
Glad you guys are enjoying it!
It is taking a while to get the hang of the 360 filming/editing but I'll get there! 😁

The little cat was pretty!
When it goes ...it goes!! 😁
Thanks Teo! Now it really starts. Can't wait for next week
Hi Brendan!
The 2nd day had it all!! From zero wind and sunshine to rain and 30Kt gusts!! 😅
LINDO... é difícil escolher palavras para descrever a beleza das imagens...
Parabéns à Equipa
OBRIGADA pela Partilha...
Estas aventuras são ainda mais belas quando compartilhadas com quem sabe delas difrutar! 😉
Can't wait for the down river vid, looks a little lively
It had it all!! from paddling to flying!! 😁
El estuario del Tajo es un paraiso. Gracias por amenizarnos con tus videos. Saludos desde Sanlucar de barrameda (Cadiz-España)
Good video, love that catamaran
Great video! Next week I'll be here for the return! Looks like you guys had a lot of trouble, let's see!
Hi André!
It wasn't as peaceful as the trip upriver...😅
Obrigado pela partilha da V/ aventura, parabéns! E bons ventos!
Obrigado Francisco.
I see you are near Lisbon, and also presumably the Lines of Torres Vedras. Shame about the wind but then you do get less on rivers.

Wow can't wait for the return!
Great trip!
Hi Michael!
It was indeed!!
And the second day proved even more challenging and rewarding! 😁
@@TheBoatRambler Really looking forward to the high wind return video!
Inspirational! Just subscribed. Hoping for some wind tomorrow for my sail.
Thanks James, and fair winds!
Can't wait for next weeks episode!
Only 4 min in but nice edits, it really gives a sense of the journey...
Thank you! 😄
I really like your boat. Can you make a smaller one of 3 m with a sail? thank you for sharing your experiences
You would have to ask the designer Micahel Storer. But a 3m boat is very small...
We havent such a big river close( Volga is about 200 km from my hometown. We now have a plan to take 2-3 lasers to nearest reservoir which is big. But we can't take our club boats there, because of lack of infrastructure and good roads (
Hi Konstantin.
The Lasers should be Ok to cartop so I'm sure you guys will find a way to have some extra fun! 😁
Your boat is nice. I like the tiki 14??
Que maratona!! Excelentes imagens. Sendo 3 barcos diferentes, os andamentos pelo vídeo parecem muito parecidos, é assim?

How did you get the camera on the yard to pan around? Great video thanks.
Hi!
The camera is an Insta 360 so I can do the pan around during video editing. 😉
Amazing videos. What size and type is your boat?
Hi Barry!
my boat is a Goat Island Skiff, 16ft, designed by Michael Storer.
Are there plans any where to build the catamaran dingy?
Hi David!
the catamaran is a Hitia 14 by James Warram.
Have a look here: www.wharram.com/shop/building-plans/hitia-designs/hitia14
