You are right. First produced in 1910, the Allen or cap head fixer was conceived in the 1860's. Presumably they could not manufacture it until later, or it was not economical to do so before then
G'day Graig and greetings from Tasmania Australia 🇦🇺 that is going to be a very nice bike, and the great thing about it it's one of a kind and it shows your skill at build them. Kind regards John
The lights in your shed will be the problem, LED and Floro have slightly different light spectrums but the camera can't differentiate. Take a piece outside and see what it looks like in natural light on camera.
Craig. You'll struggle to get the colour to look right when filmed under artificial light; even if you could, everyone viewing it on a TV or PC screen would have to calibrate their screens to the same standard.
Allen filed his 1st patent for hex head screws in 1909. Not his fault that the British motorcycle industry took forever to see the light... p.s., the colour temperature of your lights is the problem, I think. Don't sweat it. Not a big deal. FYI, on my phone it looks monkey shit brown. Cacky, I believe it's called on the colour charts. I quite like it...
None of my business but, how do you 'charge' for these builds ie. by project, hours, combination of both?? Just wondering considering the total amount of actual time spent on these beautiful 'works of art'. Keep the videos coming... thank you...
Probably a really stupid question. Dulling the chrome. Did you use anything special or simply a scotchbrite pad ?? I know. I know. It was a stupid question and one I feel I know the answer to 🥴
I`ve been eagerly awaiting the girder fork re-build, and i agree with powder coating reducing hole widths etc, it`s why i don`t particularly like it. I know what you mean about the colour response on the go pro. In pictures on facebook, it does look much darker, preoper Army green, yet on the go pro film on here, it looks like a cross between army green, and khaki. Yuk. Great build though, with a lot of skill and passion.
You clearly havent followed the full build and know the story behind it, you also missed how craig mentions the colour looks way diff on screen. But anyway its my bike and I chose the colours and am very happy with them
@@GuitarDan73 luckily for you, I wouldn't want to ride one in that color, indeed the color we see may be different than it actually is, but luckily tastes and preferences are personal and may differ. I've been following Craig for years, I probably missed the background of this bike.
@@robverheij561 As you say , personal taste but I find all your comments very odd when you literally have an olive green military bike as your profile picture???
Is that rain I heared in the backgound...again?Good reason to build a bike in a shed,I do the same! :o)
English humor, I love it.... "you donot want anything shiny when the Luftwaffe flies over...."
this is gonna be a nice bike, WOW
The colour looks loads better in the flesh
Can never be too careful where the dashed luftwaffe is concerned 😁❤️
This is going to be a bike anyone would be proud to show off.
Never mind the green on the bike you should see how green I am with envy 😉 I’m almost as excited as Dan, to see the finished price of art.
Hello, always looking forward to a new video from you.

I don't care for chrome, but I do like stainless steel and alloy, sir
Good on 'ya, them Beemers won't ride themselves! Well, not yet...
Craig, where did you get the new wheel. ? oh and love the colour of the bike. Even though it might look completely different in real life 😎
It's proper camouflage paint then, as it looks brown on the TV 🙂.
Iam looking at chocolate 🍫 brown looking nice 😋
Happy fathers day your work is brilliant as always have a great day
If Dan's not happy with it, maybe you could send it my way, lol. Not going to happen, he will LOVE it!! Thanks Craig.
artistic licence is brill ,

Looking really nice Craig! Cheers, Doug
Looking great, the colour looks like mushroom green on my pc screen, really like the colour
Looks brilliant great job👍
this has got to be one of your best builds. looking forward to the end result
I might claim 2nd too
Nice one Craig, cheers.
The scotchbrite wheels generally have a rotational direction. If put on the boss the wrong way round dont last quite as long. Cheers
That headlight looks fantastic. Love it.... It's all coming along nicely. I can't wait. Good job Craig, as always. 👍🏼
Wow the details are going to look mind blowing 💞 I'am more excited than Dan 😂😁
Looks amazing 👌👍👍👍
Great work as always 👍

Fantastic
That headlamp rim will be a pig to remove again and it will damage the paint , I found out the hard way .

More firsts than Hepcat
Loving Dan’s bikes progression 👍 do you have a link for the new scotch-brite wheels ?
Hey Craig --- what's with the new stool. It looks a bit out of place in your shed !!!
Is it a deliberate mistake but did you feed through the headlight wiring before fitting all together?
A Craig try taking a photo with your iPhone and putting that up just a thought mate
Alread have done on the doghouse page ;)

What type of wax do you use?
beeswax
Not a fan of too much chrome either, looking awesome so far, Dan’s a lucky man.

He wont be doing anymore customer builds, all future builds will be auctioned on ebay like he used to do
🏴🙏🙋♂️🗳👍🏻😀
Craig.u got the headlamp lens upside down.
Only teasing. Bad joke
Do you mean the glass lense or the chrome surround? ill let Craig know

we have all had it slip in the wrong hole m8

I admire your craftsmanship, but what a rotten color for what is going to be a beautiful motorcycle, actually actually very sad.

Try to do it with Stodoys plans :)
I had to stop watching I was growing old waiting for something to happen
