Craig, we can see how keen you are to get this bike done but you have to start looking after yourself, a couple of hours sleep on the couch is not looking looking after yourself. Work proper hours in the shed and knock off after you have done your 8 hours and spend time with your family and make sure you are eating regularly with proper meals. We all enjoy your channel so you have to stick about for a long time, Got the message.
Your ability to take an old RE and turn it into what you have for your friend Dan makes you a true artist. The bike is a work of art in that the closer you look, the more you find to admire in the details!
I didnt know about the spindle donation until now you bugger! THANK YOU! Ive loved that thing since you built it in the vid so thank you mate! Bikes looking classy as hell ;)
Craig when you get these aggro parts that are incorrect, could you just send the video to the sellers? You could give them the relevant time slot, so they don't have to trawl through the whole thing. Your videos are as good as a thousand words. You might even get some more subscribers!
Mate, you just keep nailing it with your colour schemes .....I am loving the cream wheels fantastic .....and ya da was right ....job done right do it ya self
I had a similar problem with spokes. Read about people used to bending them to proper angle so thats what I did. Used the old ones to match the angles and it worked. Been on the wheels for almost a year now. No problem.
Hey Craig, Dan's bike is looking fantastic. I can't wait to see it ready to go on the road. I hope you or someone will shoot some good videos of it because it is truly unique. Wasn't sure about the cream wheels but now that they are mounted, it was obviously the right choice with the color scheme. Cheers, Dan. 🏍👍🇨🇦
Seems like the fluorescent shop lights are whats making Dan's bike look off. Fluorescent bulbs have a green tint to them and when you had the shop door open and the (white) sunlight was able to come in the green powder looked great.
I think Franks got a great idea in sending the video to the company. They could then see the error of their spoke design, and also they’d see you are not some sort of DIY green horn. The bike is looking amazing so unusual.
Great explanation of the nut/washer importance Craig - that would have certainly caught me out putting a bike together for the first time.Loving the paint .
That nut thickens problems is the reason it is never good to have accounts controlling inventory, they look at two nuts same ID Same OD same thread pitch that will be fine and elaninate one from inventory. Suddenly all production is stopped because those two nuts are slightly different and one can't replace the other one In either application . Both are off the shelf parts. Now your money saving inventory adjustment is costing massive amounts of cash that cannot be retrieved it is gone forever . Because your customer went across town and purchased from your compeatour.
Almost certainly a stupid question as I’m sure you would have spotted it instantly - but no chance they just sent you two sets of inner spokes by mistake? Love the solution to the problem. Bike is looking superb - making me itchy to get on with a build myself. Trouble is I have 3 other projects to finish first…
Always annoying getting so close to finishing and little things like that happen. I don't think those girders suit that and you should give them to me for one of my bikes... 🧐🤣
I bought spokes and a rim and I gave up, took it to a shop and paid to get them to lace it. Couldn’t figure out the inner and outer spokes and the various holes in the rim, of which there must be four different kinds of angles for the ayelets or whatever they are called. Right inner, right outer, left inner, left outer…looked like a nigh5mare.
I designed the paint scheme, id love to know what colour theory and spot colour locations are but I dont lol.....There is a bit more 'cream' going on somewhere but at this stage not the tank but who knows ;)
@@GuitarDan73 Colour theory is about what colours work well together, rule of three is the sweet spot and you've got OD, cream and silver. Spot colour is when you take usually a brighter or more vivid complimentary colour and arrange it usually around the outer areas to tie it together, invariably in triangle points. Even the brass is doing it.
The Ural would suit the sort of treatment you gave Dan's bike.
The more I see of this bike, the more I like it. Looks great.
Looking mint mate. Looks flipping sweet...sitting there raw without tank etc. Good job.👍🏁
Fabulous! 👍 I have a story about a new stainless Bantam rim where half the dimples were stamped wrong.
Beautiful .all the colour an texture thos chunky tyres.cant wait for a bikes crowing glory. The tank. to b fited. Great job craig.
Very neat solution to the spoke issue, nice work chap.

Dan's bike just looks better & better every time I see it.
It’s looking really nice that 👍 and we do want to se some wiring 😁 please 🤞
Just noticed two thumbs down, the mind boggles who on earth would do that.

beginning to look really good

I bet Dan is getting so excited. The bike is really coming together nicely.

really is coming together very nicely despite the spoke problem you fixed as i new you would
This has got to be one of, if not the best looking bike on the net right now. Can't wait to see it finished.
High praise indeed but thank you!

G'day Craig you have done a great job it really is one of a kind, the colour is terrific it's one of a kind. John
I was not a fan of the green at first, but it works well on this bike. Great job.

Great to see a master at work. Trev 🇬🇧.

Adapt & overcome!👍😁
The messing about is what makes your builds look correct and VERY NICE. Thanks for sharing areal Great Build Series with Dan’s bike.
When something like this happens it amounts up to 4 days lost 😠 for you. I understand how much of a pain in the 🐓 it is.
( No Donkey picks😮)
Looks Awesome Craig. It would be nice to see Dan’s reaction when he takes delivery of the bike.
Capture the moment on video???
Looking good
Looking better and better, you're doing Dan's history proud. Thanks Craig.
It’s looking really nice 👍
Colour scheme is spot on. The brushed metal finish ties it all in.
Shed extension required Craig.. Looking great as always
Great explanation of the nut/washer importance Craig - that would have certainly caught me out putting a bike together for the first time.Loving the paint .
Yep,custom built❤️❤️
It's looking stunning mate and after seeing it in the flesh yesterday it's looking like a complete one off masterpiece.
She's a beaut Craig.
My mother had the same saying do it yourself worked every time
omg this looks the bollox ...... cant wait to see the finished bike
Thats looking the "Doghouse" Bollox Craig fair play
That carb trumpet should be brass or the carb should look brass .. lol . sorry for the extra work if you change it 🤣😂😂 great build 👍
Looking really well Craig.
Makes me want to do my bike again!
Would love to see what little tricks you have for fitting the loom. Thanks
Those are harley handlebars the bend is for the wiring loom on the stock controls to fit through.
Seven eighths Harley bars.?? I don't think so.
It was cool to see you pop up on @shadetreesurgeon live stream this morning
Yes I did see you but it was all going to quick for me so Ill say hello now.
Looking fantastic
its coming together real nice!
Not liking the white rims, but what a build!

Fantastic work amazed at your skills.
would love to see the wiring not my best thing to do so any tips is great bike is looking great
Good morning Craig hope your well
Just seen a video on your sign writers work on the chain guard of Dan’s bobber looks fantastic can’t wait to see it on the bike
Looks like a pie on the bench
Nice... Here's a question - can a disc brake be fitted on a set of girders...?
Just tell spoke supplier to watch video.....sorted
It's all coming together very nicely...Are NEW Enfield parts really that bad. Where are these parts manufactured.
I had a similar problem with a bicycle wheel. When built kept snapping the hub side ends off the spokes. Good luck.
Can you give info about the battery you use? Thanks.

Did you speak to a spokesperson ? 😂
Wow got here first

Craig you're wearing a HDS t-shirt
Truing a newly laced rim seems to be a compromise these days
Why?
@@frankiepitt9135 I've found that the seam can have over .050" variance :/
What's actually mad i that the whole bike is compliant with colour theory and spot colour locations - assuming there' cream on the tank?

Look, I was in the shower alright? lol
Where is the GS 850 vids.
That must be annoying having been sent the wrong spokes.
That it terrible with the parts .
