Most Indian kindergartens are only for 2-3 hours. In primary school and high school, it is from 7 or 8am to 2 pm . So highschoolers in India spend less time in school than Kindergarten kids in China. I personally feel that China, South Korea etc have the hardest, most rigorous school life in the world.😭
I think it's probably because most Chinese mothers work and no one is home to take care of their children, so they have to keep their children in school longer. But now, even though Aman is in kindergarten, I have to pick up my kids at 4pm every day, and most companies in China work after 6pm, so I still have a hard time finding a job.

This is how kindergardens (day care center, Dagis) function in Sweden as well. The parents drop their children between 5 am and 8 am before they go to work. The children have their breakfast lunch and tea (light meal) in the kindergarden. They sleep for hour or so after lunch. They have play rooms inside and play garden out side where they run around. They are taught rhymes, songs, cultural activities and this is where the children of foreign parents learn local language and culture of the country. After 4pm the parents start to come and pick up their children to take them home. Some parents who work late hours can pick up their children at 7pm. If the child has slept one hour in day care center then the child is less likely to be tired and irritated when it comes home so it is a good thing and relieves pressure to the parent. The child is well fed and rested.
My uncle's kid go to kindergarten in India. The timing is 9 am to 12.and i think that's the best time for kids. Keeping little kids at kindergarten whole day is bad idea for by school. It must be hard for Chinese kids.
