    Hey Tyler, AA always comes through and it's usually a huge surprise to most everyone. I think any trade made with the White sox would turn out to be beneficial to our Braves. Thanks for your insights and opinions. Keep up the great work , hopefully AA continues to successfully improve our team as he has shown he can!! GO BRAVES ⚾

    Yes I say get both of these players Brent and the pitcher these moves are much needed if the braves want to contend with these other teams like the dodgers or Yankees.

    Charlie is 40. And getting worse every start. AA has made some great moves, one of his worst was giving Morton 20M. We absolutely don’t need to bring him back next season. Losing Strider was a bummer( pun intended ) but Sale was an amazing addition and Lopez has exceeded all expectations. Fried will likely not be back once he hits the market.

      Charlie is absolutely not getting worse with every start. Don't get emotional after 1 bad outing. Charlie is Charlie.....you get 2 to 3 good starts, then 1 to 2 bad ones. That's why he's #4 and not your ace. Find me another number 4 starter that has his credentials,leadership, mentorship and ability for 20 million and get back with me

    The bullpen is taxed due to the starters not going deep. We must keep both Spencer’s….

    What about Kevin Gausman and Springer from Toronto

      Don’t hate it - but Gausman thrives in bigger ballparks. And not sure Springer solves the OF need.

      I doubt Toronto would let go of Gausman. Not without a king's ransom since he still has two more years left on a 5 year/$100M contract. Per year, that's not overpaying either.

      Why would anyone ever get a outfielder with more than a year of control? Plus Ramon Laureano has been putting up great at bats since day one since being called up, and he looks like a very solid option right now.

    I'm sorry but I'm still going to keep bringing this up, and controversy be damned. I would still kick the tires on Trevor Bauer. The man literally said he can play for the league minimum. And he's still a good pitcher.

      Bauer is a clubhouse nightmare. There is a reason no other team has signed him. Even the worst teams in the league want no part because they know it doesn't matter how good he performs, there is no trade value

    What do we with Arcia… his defense is great but he is an offensive liability currently… is this a slump or do we need to be looking …

    I think Minter is going to be a free agent this winter, he should be worth at least 10 million. Iglesias I'd say is soon. Braves may lose a few pitchers this winter.

    You go into the off-season and worry about the rotation, not the trade deadline. As much as you have concerns with Fried, or Strider, or anyone else, you gain a clearer picture in the off-season. What happens if you re-sign Fried, and Strider is on track to come back to start the season on time? With the 5th spot open now, it allows you to gauge what a Spencer Schwellenbach can do, or maybe a 2nd half Waldrep, potentially Smith-Shawver, and even Ian Anderson if you've forgot him, who's already got over 50 starts at the major league level, and has been metricly good in 2 of the 3 seasons. You have control and cost certainty with those guy, and they help maintain a lower salary base for the team. If your end of season easement isn't good, then you go out and find your pitchers then, otherwise you're potently wasting money and prospect capital when it's not needed.

    • @johnmayne1565
      @johnmayne1565 6 місяців тому

      !00% agree. At this point, the only top prospects i'd be willing to trade is Vines, Dodd, maybe Elder, and Waldrip....which I never like the Hurton Waldrip pick from the start

    • @BravesOnDeck
      @BravesOnDeck  6 місяців тому

      I also think we need a starter for this season, but if we can get one that has another year of control. Handle that too.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 6 місяців тому

      @@johnmayne1565 Why do you not like Waldrip? He has at least 2 plus pitches, and his splitter is close to an elite pitch as it gets. He just needs to work on better control, and maybe develop another pitch the plays better off his fastball.

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 6 місяців тому +2

      @@BravesOnDeck Why would they need another starter? The Braves rotation has the 3rd best FIP and xFIP in the majors right now, so even their 5th options aren't near as bad as you think compared to every team out there. This is the time where you find out who could be a part of next years rotation, along with bringing up players to give you cost certainty and controllability, which is how you keep your team salary under control. We're not talking about just any prospects, we're talking about the Braves top prospects.

      @@MassBoost I guess you need someone to tell you what someone's value is. If Morton is worth 20, Fried is worth 50-60

    • @MassBoost
      @MassBoost 6 місяців тому

      @@richarddavis4928 It's about the value of WAR, as Fangraphs have figured out the amount of money that is spent on players every year versus how much WAR there is, to get a dollar cost average of what 1 WAR is worth. So we can actually quantify the value of players compared to amount of money that is spent on players in general, to actually see if they are underpaid or overpaid for their production. You can claim someone might be overpaid, but when looking at the amount that most teams spend in general for players, and knowing how much production they get for that money in general, that claim might not hold true.

      @@richarddavis4928 What does that have to do with his salary? That's like Asking how well Max Fried did against Arizona when he gave up 8 runs, but we likely know by years end that Fried will be worth his salary, same goes for any pitcher when it comes to overall performance on the year.
