You can't "try EDM". This patch you can't force shit, you haven't been able to the entire set(Im almost dia this season). The only thing i've sucessfully "almost every game" forced is Seraphine. If you get Zhonyas or get a giga angle for Lux and scout lobby and see that it can kill backline. It's good and you can play. You shoudn't force this comp though it's not forceable, you need specific conditions for Jax(Item augments/maybe mosher aug or smth, good components for jax). A good Jax angle or dont reroll the Jax. Same for Lux really(You need to be able to snipe a lot of backliners, Ezreal counters this i believe with jumps).
I reached Master before the new year forcing Jax and Riven reroll, until the EDM trait got gutted with the -1 second frequency. I tried EDM today for 2 games coz I saw buffs to both Jax and Lux in the patch notes, but didn't work. So I went back in forcing Seraphine reroll for almost 200LP. You can definitely force reroll comps this set, just have to know your spot and scout consistently if contested.
@tobiasladdarn1959 Thats just anecdotal. Forced EDM lux and penta to Diamond before the edm nerf to jax and time. But i would say EDM does require more specific items to be good (shit ton of rods).
Seraphine is like a 4th or 3rd almost always with spellweaver chosen. KDA is a lot better for capping out/midgame even. Also jeweled gauntlet is a lot better than morello. You want JG Dcap sho jin every game or if you have J lotus you can deviate.
Headliner Kayle is not that important, it's only 20% AS buff with the patch now. Mordekaiser on the other hand has a much more interesting Headliner bonus

IMO when you are going to have Kayle headliner, edgelord is better than pentakill before you have access to Yorick/spat. Because edgelord helps Viego to survive, you can duo carry with your kayle and viego.
