I approve of this experiment. There's a very specific kind of eerie atmosphere which TR1's textures, lighting, isolation (lack of human enemies), enemy stylization (pitch black panthers; "mummies"), etc uniquely convey. I'd say it is still very much possible (although not attempted often) to recapture that in TR4's engine or TEN even. But keeping it simple and yet complex (i.e. the Sabatu way) is great as it is. If it depended on me, you could keep re-releasing re-interpretations of TR1 until the end of time (like Koei does with its re-telling of Romance of the Three Kindgoms, in Dynasty Warriors) (P.S. Whatever the case though, despite TR1 being my favorite, I'm still eagerly waiting for your reimagining of TR3, 4 and Chronicles!)
Sounds amazing. I like this idea. A full game. Looking forward to everything you do in trle world
