- Follow along as we install a solo expedition spray deck that uses standard snaps along the edge of the deck and no-drill, YKK SNAD adhesive snap studs.
Nice apron!
A habit from carpentry - I want all the stuff that I use immediately at-hand whenever I want to use them. 😀
Very nice! Are you associated with Rutabaga? I can't wait to see your adjustable seat. I just got my 5th solo canoe, a Northstar NW Solo, and I hate the seat (after using Sawyer sliding bucket seats for 40 years). If NS can't do it, somebody needs to.
Thank you! I'm not associated with them, other than the owner being a brother-from-another-mother kind of friend. 🙂
This Dragonfly was originally his, but it had a very minor cosmetic blem and Swift replaced it. I don't mind a blem, so this one came home with me.
Hi. Im in the UK and have a 16ft Enigma prospector.
Would your tandem decks be ok for my boat.
Love the non drill press stud design.
Thanks, as a noob to canoeing, great, informative videos
Hello, Nick! Our tandem decks would work wonderfully on your Enigma Prospector 16, though I wouldn't recommend the SNAD adhesive snap studs on a triple-layer polyethylene canoe. The polyethylene is a very low-energy bonding surface and the 3M VHB adhesive on the SNAD snap studs may not adhere well.
I recommend drilled and riveted snaps on all polyethylene and ABS hulls to ensure that the snap studs are secure.
@redleafdesigns2157 thanks for replying. I've watched that tutorial also. Thank you, much appreciated
