The videos you make are always spectacular. The scenery in this episode was off the charts gorgeous. I could almost smell the pines and feel the cool brisk air. Thank you very much
Thank you very much. Im currently finishing up the last episodes of season 1 of Cycling USA and I they are really cool. Im also riding west again starting from Boston and in NH now. Season 2 on its way.
@@FlyscoutRyder North Idaho Centennial Trail, runs on the south side of I90 and will take you from the east side of CDA all the way out the west side of spokane. And yes there are a lot of crazy drivers around here lately.
Another brilliant video, looking forward to the next one. Montana is an amazing state and it looks like you made some lifelong memories during your time there. I spent my early childhood in Idaho and I’m glad you were able to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the northern part of the state. I’m hoping to tour through there someday in the future.
I hope you get out and tour anywhere. It is special to see the world coming towards you day after day. Montana is totally one of the greatest playgrounds for cycling. Idaho is super cool in the Coeur d’Alenes area. I also enjoyed Washington especially coming down into York and Seattle. What a blast. Those episodes are next. Thank you for watching and reaching out
I'm a cyclist in spokane, WA. Would love to ride a few miles with you if you'd like. Thank you for sharing your ride. I'm planning one from spokane to missoula soon. Wasn't sure if it was ok to ride on interstate 90 but the trail of the Coeur d alene. Is magnificent!
I-90 is bicycle friendly in WY, MO, ID, and WA so its all good. I would be all about riding with you someday. The cycling USA season is from last summer so not sure Im coming thru Spokane this year. My route will take me from Maine to N Dakota thru MI UP and the heading south to CO and then west to CA. I’ll be keeping my IG account with info or where Im heading in case you can join then. Thanks for watching my episodes.
I admire your candor to in your travels but wanting to get to Seattle as soon as possible and missing out on Idaho and the trail to me is a big mistake. It is easy to say, I will be back but the reality is that it is so difficult to get back to somewhere that you encountered the way you did going completely across. Olympic National Park is huge...I went to the North East part of it last year on my way to Port Angeles, Port Townsend and the San Juan Islands and I will definitely go back and also hit the North Cascades NP and Mt. Rainier but on my crossing I spent as much time as possible exploring the places that I toured on my crossing 2020. Places like Painted Hills , Mt. Hood, Columbia River Gorge, Hood River, Hell's Canyon, were amazing as well as the Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho, alone with Craters of the Moon, Arcos, Idaho Falls, Sun Valley, Palisades , Stanley the Ponderosa highway and all the pasess ( 6 of them) were spectacular. I hope in your next trip you take more time because you never get that time back. For those who may think differently, in a car is a whole different ball of wax....
I work until ale July and at the time, before my father passed, I took care of him half the year. So, I only had the August-Octoberish window to do the crossing. That's why I couldn't do more than Seattle otherwise I would be on the road longer. This last tour is close to 1,000 miles longer and I crossed from east to west and north to south and I still was wanting to stay longer then four months but had to get back home as well. I'm definitely not the nomadic rider. Not yet anyways.
Wonderful video! But it would be much better if you could wear some bright clothes or put more bright stuff on your bike, so motorists can see you better. Wearing dark colors is not so safe when you are sharing the roads with crazy drivers. If people can see you better, so much safer. I live in Missoula, so I know how many cyclists have been killed around here over the years. I really deck out in fluorescent colors to bicycle. We have not yet done the Trail of the CDL, and hope to do it this coming summer. Thanks for sharing this, and happy riding!
I hope you get do the Coeur d'Alene Trail someday. It's been a few years but I remember it fondly. About the bright clothes while cycling, you are so right. I have brighter clothes every year I go out there for another tour but I still do wear some dark colors that are garments I've had a long time and are sort of dear to me. If you keep watching my channel you will see I wear brighter things. BTW, Season 4 is starting Jan 2. Take Care. Thank you for reaching out.
Hi Tracey. I know all about what I think you are saying here. My daughter knows how much I love cycling and she has tried all her life to feel comfortable on the two wheels without success so we can share this one of many activities we actually enjoy doing together. She is 28 and still to this day it's nerve racking for her and I to go in circles out on my street which has absolutely no traffic at all. It's like a mental block. She panics when making turns and cringes at my episodes but is also fascinated by the crazy scenarios I get into. During her teenage years she tried so many times and ended up with life long scars on her knees from falling badly. She's tough so she took it well but likely made her even more cautious. I hope you can power thru and get more and more comfortable on your bike. Sounds like you like to cycle. Thanks for watching the channel.
@@FlyscoutRyder I like feeling safe when riding my bike too and why bike paths (where no cars are allowed) are where it is most safe for cyclists. Perhaps in the future they will build upon more of not only bike lanes, but also bike Paths for those who love to commute by bicycle. There are many benefits from riding a bicycle. I've been riding ever since I was 2/3 years old got in a couple of really gruesome accidents and went through bike riding changes such as MtBiking, hybrid riding, road cycling, to now, Bike Touring. I reside in Nevada and this state has a lot of bikepacking trails to ride on as well as over 389 campgrounds and as a state we are surrounded by five states that also offer many mountains, natural landscapes, and campgrounds. I've caught the BikeToruing bug as Darren ALff was my mentor and inspirer of this activity and I am still hoping to do a Tour this year soon as I have been interrupted by financial reasons and family. I've been trying to make an effort to train, but having to work almost everyday in order to take care of my financial responsibilities. Nevada has an excellent bikepack route to Reno which I would like to do someday in the future. Are you planning to bike travel abroad in your future?
Enjoyed this bikepacking video so much. Amazed you can bike on expressways. Very entertaining.
Thanks man. Freeways are a blast but as you will see in another episode coming up, it can get a bit much when near cites.
The videos you make are always spectacular. The scenery in this episode was off the charts gorgeous. I could almost smell the pines and feel the cool brisk air.
Thank you very much
You are so welcome, Mark. Thank you for watching. Way more content on its way. Stay tuned.

This is one aspect that I like for my dream trip across USA - the trails. Thanks for Sharing.
Welcome. Glad you enjoyed
Loved the last two videos, glad to catch up with your trip, can't wait to get to the Pacific and Olympia NP and sea shore....
Thank you very much. Im currently finishing up the last episodes of season 1 of Cycling USA and I they are really cool. Im also riding west again starting from Boston and in NH now. Season 2 on its way.
Trail of the Coeur d'Alenes is one of my favorite local trails. Glad you enjoyed my Idahome.
The Trail of the Coeur D'Alenes is awesome. Wish I could have taken it all the way to Plummer but I had to go west asap

Riding a bike is much easier when one 'has', try riding as a have not...and then tell me about cycling. (much harder)!
