The anticipation, wait to hear this song was all worth it. Kept on hearing from the guys on the band and radio DJ's how much they all love this song. Definitely one of their better records. Such a beautiful, powerful love song. Classic.
I cannot believe this is Live. You completely forget that fact when you listen to this. This has been on repeat in our house now for the last hour. I need to listen to It don't matter now just to get a breather from this beaute of a toon!
Ive been listening to these guys for 10 years and though my favorite stuff by them is their old stuff, you know damn well you are going to get a solid record no matter what they put out
I listened to Kings of Leon for the first time about 5 years ago.....only by the night was my intro to their music .....however songs like knocked up, cold desert, fans are just a few songs that made really like this band..with good reason theyre one of my favourite bands out there...I've always had a good ear for picking up Nathans voice in the background and i find this song is the perfect duo for him and Caleb...CANT WAIT FOR MECHANICAL BULL!
Live video can still be found on tumbler if you look for it. Along with family tree, and wait for me. And umm while I'm at it has anyone notice a renewed beast mode to black thumbnail? Good lord! Oh yea this song is powerful...
I have never heard them reference u2 as an influence. I've hears them say they learned a lot about the business side and lighting. But never heard them compliment their catalog as an influence. In fact I got the impression they don't like their music. I have saw calib make fun of bonos "little legs" either way, doesn't matter this song is great.
I was expecting this song to be 10x more epic.. Mostly because of the hype. Quote unquote people saying that this song was blowing the minds on the people who got to hear it. But nevertheless, it's still a great song and KoL will always be my favorite band. Rock on fellas.

thank you for this!
Decent!!
@chris dougherty they have referenced U2 as a major influence in there music upbringing multiple times.
Yea not only is it live but probably the first time they have played it in front of people? The performance and emotion will only get better.
This is a really good song, gets better every time I listen to it(didn't like it at first)
Tune
better than ever before
this puts my doubts for 'mechanical bull' at bay for a while:)
actually because of the times and only by the night had a direct u2 influence when kol were opening for them they admitted as much in some interview
If i had to explain my KOL story... this would be it exactly lol.
Its amazing how they never reference U2 as one of their influences.
