It’s mat training day (session one!) for our brilliant American Cocker Spaniel puppy!

This little bug is catching up so fast with her training from week to week...amazing!!! She Is just watching you like a hawk!!! Smart and gorgious, what more can you wish for!!! By the way, good use of the exercise stepper! Mine has been collecting dust in the closet for the last 15 years! LOL!!! Great idea for training, maybe I'll get it out for Cooper too!

Interesting. In the long run is using a training mat to teach the puppy to stay focused on you? Does this segue to the puppy focusing if there is not mat or does that cause confusion? I’m not clear why a mat instead of just focusing on you.
