I heard this group perform this song at the Unicorn Coffeehose in Boston circa 1968 - the sounded so good live in that cramped cellar.
The thundercrash at the end is a piece of sheet metal flexed in a reverb room.
This was the only album that Hendrix produced that he didn't also play on.
