The music that box was playing, is the lullaby which her father (Christian Shepard) used to sing Claire, when she was young. This song goes a loooong way through the entire show. Man, incredible, this attention to detail of the writer.
I think I understood why they made this a flash sideways storyline. The show touched on Jack having some guilt over Claire after he learned he was his sister. That was why he could not see Aaron and Kate after he found out, and why he told Kate to get Claire off the island. He felt guilty over not being more of a brother to her, and not helping her when she needed him. However, in this storyline, he can finally forgive his father through his relationship with his own son, and he invites his sister to move in with him, relieving both things that he could not let go of.
@@apple54345 this is not intentionally it. The music box is playing "catch a little star". In their real lifes, Claire met her father once and he told her, that he often visited her, when she was little. But she didn't seem to remember. Later, when she was pregnant and wanted to put the baby to adoption, she asked the adoptive parents, if they would sing "catch a little star" to the baby. She explained, that her father used to sing it to her, when she was little.
I love the reflection in the mirror with the two of them together. Quite symbolic there.

It's called Catch a Falling Star.
Awwww so cute. I love them as brother and sister
"no we're not strangers we are family".
That turned on my water works
Claire's grin at the very end is one of my favorite moments of Lost.
“We’re not strangers... we’re family.”

I love this reunion
There is always been something special between them even when they didn't know they're siblings.. Love them ❤
Sorry they could'n live like a family
Love that scene - it's absolutely... sweet and yet cool at the same time 'cos they're gonna start remembering stuff hopefully.
Who the hell just knows what their flight number was from a flight they took a few days ago?
Easy
same initial thought, but perhaps the coincidences and the numbers had been popping up for each of them since the day of that flight.
My favorite characters Jack and Claire. I'm glad there finally getting screen time again.
