@ricardobsouza2662 CJI was streamed by over 1.2 Million Viewers. ADCC didnt come close to that. Flo grapplings clips are barely getting 10k views. There was far more media attention around CJI during the event. The production quality of CJI was better and the Format was better. ADCC in no way provided a better grappling event than what CJI gave out.
Seriously it looks so unprofessional and stupid, keeping the action going isn't worth how awkward it is to try to decide when to slow down the pace for a reset or if you should keep going
Yeah that was a rookie mistake. Literally the first thing you learn in Judo is break falls. This is so you can overcome your natural instincts to put you arm down and catch yourself, which can lead to many types of injuries.
I was cutting through an alley this morning to get some coffee trying to imagine if there was a way to keep the competitors within bounds on the mat and not in the stands…something with angled walls like in Karate Combat or…oh wait…it’s already been done! Craig Jones Invitational! It worked! Just like microphones for interviewers when interviewing athletes!
Here’s the problem: All these great submissions were stuck behind a paywall so no one watched it. What’s worse is that despite excellent performances, we all know they’re making pocket change compared to CJI. Even if they win, they’re still making less than the losers of the CJI tournament.
"All these great submissions were stuck behind a paywall" - Maybe you should read a book/research and become familiar with the SVOD business model. I understand your point but it doesn't scream "I have a business education."
@@michaelwalsh8053 Not everything is behind a paywall...willing to bet you pay for a Entertainment Subscription Service yet you don't complain about the company putting their intellectual property behind a paywall. Go eat some more paint chips son.
Yea they hosted their event the same day as Cji which is a ballsey move that didn’t workout but i applaud them for trying, they’ll be competition one day tho once they get investors who are willing to pay the athletes.
Michael Pixley performance against Meregalli was just insane. So superior on the feet and so solid when Meregalli went to the floor after noticing Pixley was better on standing position. Scary guy.
CJI killed it. Loved ADCC a couple of years back but CJI felt like an event, like you were part of the journey. ADCC felt hollow this year didn’t even bother getting my subscription for Flo
@@rampart7316 Injuries happen, but it takes a true master to capitalize on any opportunity. Pixley's technique and timing were impeccable, and that's what sealed the deal.
I had fun watching both promotions. I just hope in the future you guys can work together. It’s the athlete who should be profiting. The organizers to, but we just need to figure out a way to get the athletes more money. It’s 2024 $10,000 is nothing these days.
They spend sooo much on production! And the production is still subpar compared to what CJI was able to put out in the first event! Thatsss just craaazy!
I must admit, ad a casual BJJ watcher, I liked the Craig Jones Invitational format and arena WAY more entertaining than this. Better arena and better set of rules, more fun to watch too. I think CJI will be the next evolution in BJJ (as No-Gi vs Gi prior to that). And the cool stuff is all CJI athletes were actually paid decently to fight and make a spectacle.
What is this ADCC, is it like an underdog amature version before they are good enough for CJI? Sorry just started grappling a month ago and don't know anything about all the big tournaments. I would think so based on the prize money at least. How long would one train to get to adcc?
People crying saying meregali only tapped because of the injury is hilarious and may be true. But this is a combat sport. Pixley was just too strong and explosive for him and created the injury. That’s part of the sport. And to be honest injury or not pix was gonna get the job done anyway. There’s a massive problem in the -99kg class and his name is Michael mfkn Pixley
What happens when the fighters get pushed off the mats? Do they just cross there fingers nobody gets hurt and reset? If only there was a way to keep the fighters in the combat surface that didnt obstruct the view of the fans???
CJI was free to watch and way better rules, entairtainement etc. Love the angled mats too. Wish more free to watch with well paid athletes in the future.
CJI was incredible! Hours of free entertainment and all the athletes got paid.
Cji trials looking nice
Was watching CJI so thank you for upload.
CJI really stole the show.
I dont think so, IMO ADCC was a bigger show at least on screen. But I think CJI has its place too
@@ricardobsouza2662 I respect your opinion, even though its wrong

Did not know ADCC is happening this weekend. Was too busy watching CJI! 😂
ADCC - when mum says 'we have CJI at home'.
the thing is you actually have to pay for adcc lmfao
Haha brooooo 😂
lmao copied someone else's comment and didnt even pull it off right
CJI
This looks like a cheap version of CJI
Because it is a cheap version of CJI
CJI production was way better
What’s the point of having a designated mat area when these guys are literally grappling in the stands.
Seriously it looks so unprofessional and stupid, keeping the action going isn't worth how awkward it is to try to decide when to slow down the pace for a reset or if you should keep going
Sounds like they need the alley
Because they can't afford to have a CJI style wall.
Some of these guys really earned their CJI invites. The whole ADCC style fighting on concrete with chairs in the way and resetting is so dumb.
Cji for life
But are they fighting to win 1 million dollars like in CJI 🤔
CJI was great
CJI just showed the world Jiu-jitsu. It shows pay walls are not needed. Let your show be free for the world and they will watch it.
The Craig Jones Invitational was a far superior event to this.
This will 100% secure his spot in CJI 2. ADCC is the final boss of trials for the CJI now
Cji was awesome
Pixley tapping aut meregali is the best thing i saw of today... besides the whole CJI tournament.
Love how meregali tapped MANY times with the arm that went boneless afterwards, he actually claimed to have lost due to an injury.
We the people can tell the desperation. When was the last time after adcc you uploaded vids that fast.
Hypocrisy at is beat
CJI was EPIC! These CJI trials look sick.
Is this competition for guys who couldn't get in CJI?
looks like meregali subbed himself by posting out with his arm from a throw
you can see when he hits the ground he was tapping already before the choke.
@@Lisboa010 no, you cannot.

Thanks for this, I was watching CJI live instead
Cji was awesome, I actually got to watch it lol
Craig Jones Invitational where athletes actually get paid!
Ruotolo vs Tackett >>>
Despite cji also adcc seemed dope. I’m actually glad cji happened so lots of new athletes got some exposure
Imagine charging for streaming adcc and still not paying your athletes 😭
Is this that new franchise trying to compete with cji?

The one where you fight for free
It's called ABCD I think.
@@zachX6452 but watch for whole fortune
Feel bad for the fighters who had compete in ADCC instead of CJI... Better luck next time guys!
CJI atmosphere kills this
That Mica Galvao sequence was incredible. Pixley's skill and determination are a sight to behold.
nice, flo actually included mateusz's armbar
this time - not previous time
It deserved to be in the top 5 imo. Subbing Tonon is still a big deal despite him mainly being an MMA guy now

Galvao's cut throat motion to get under the neck was brilliant and I've never seen it before.
Mica galvaos flying armbar to k guard to inverting to a single leg and getting the back is so good
It was good of Renato Laranja to make time to commentate at ADCC as well as CGI.
😂
Poja!!
😂
Mateusz hits that armbar from K guard all the time… seen a bunch of UA-cam videos with him giving seminars on it… so so good and quick
CJI FOREVER
Pixley is an absolute powerhouse, sending Meregali packing with a dislocated shoulder and a brutal D'arce choke.
He tapped from the injury first but they didn't see it . Master Pixley got the lock on only because of the injury. That is when the second tap came.

what happened in the Isaac submission? my blue belt brain can't comprehend what happened.. knee bar while he was standing??
