its a common fault you can repair the pipe if its leaking with a 10mm conex plumbing joint and you can buy the pipe ends on E-bay also a complete pipe which i bought of e-bay for £35.00 not bad considering dealers wanted £130.00 for the same pipe came within 24hr delivery was worth it
I wish my pipe only cost that, I think it cost me £159 of ebay and had to import it from a ford dealer in Ireland as even the Ford dealer in England couldn't get the pipe. For the mk7 pipe it was £35 but mine was the newer mk8. My pipe wasn't repairable because it was rusted so thin all the way to where it broke of in the ram.
Have to change out my high pressure hose on my rack, thoght it would be my psps but its not, I wish Ford would of put that rack in the front instead of the back. ugh!! might let a professional do it, 2 yrs ago just got done installing a timing chain, timing house gasket, water pump and my oil pan gasket, dealing with rusty bolts are a pain. D,mn fluid is dripping right on my muffler.
Got a 2003 transit tipper. Going through the exact same problem . I tried using a bolt and thread it in and pull out with a claw hammer but not worked 👎👎
I had to drill it until it had thinned the metal down then ues a small screw driver down the out side of what's left to collapse it inside itself and just pick it out. Don't drill it completely out else it will damage the hole and won't have a good seal with the new pipe fitting.
Hello I had to take the whole steering rack out, unbolt the sub frame to get it out then drill the remains of the pipe out which worked but left fine filings in the oil that blocked the relief valve open but was only a 5 minute fix to take the out the Valve turn the engine on to flush the crap out .
Getting the sub frame bolts out may take you a day because the metal that holds the nuts in place bend and there's no way to get a spanner in so you will have to make one to fit but hopefully yours isn't as rusty as mine.
I would of found a tap of the correct size to see if it would bite into the inside of the remaining piece to see if it would pull out

The newer ford transits are so much harder to work on than the older models even trying to get a fuse out under the dash board is nearly impossible

@@rhysoayyjudd5627 yes I did but i used a magnet to get it out every few seconds, it's still not easy to do,
I'm scared to change mine after watching this video in case this happens 😂
How did you fix it in the end
