Creating a state of the art currency hub for the Central Bank of Egypt

The Central Bank of Egypt is the most modern currency hub on the entire African continent.
At the new headquarters of the Central Bank of Egypt in New Capital Cairo, G+D acted as general contractor for the construction and turnkey set up of a complete print house with a connected cash center - and implemented a holistic security concept right from the start.
Four complete printing lines ensure the secure printing of Egyptian banknotes - and from there, via a highly automated cash center, guarantee the security of the Egyptian currency from design, production, storage to distribution, throughout the entire life cycle of each individual banknote.
