About the name. Rook is probably The title or an honorific. Character was called by an honorific or a standardized name in all Three previous games. In the first Dragon Age your character wasn't voiced but you were called Warden frequently or gray Warden. In Dragon Age 2 you were called hawk because that was your last name. And you could not change that. You could change the first name but not your last name. In Inquisition you were called Inquisitor. And depending on your race your last name was the same. You could only change your first name but it really barely mattered. You are almost always called Inquisitor. I can't remember off the top of My head what you were called before the Temple of sacred ashes event.
And also in all of the social media posting that I've seen that mentions the name, they all say your character is called rook. You're not going to be able to change that.
So, like, when the trailer came out, I was in bed and bounced oit so fast when I saw Lucanis! 😅 I am in awe for the gameplay. Solas looks so good. Rook caused the Evanuris to be freed, damn. I am just wowed...for the past few days.

I can answer why there are two character creators. 1. Your Inquisition character is going to make a cameo in this game. The same thing happen when they brought in Hawk From Dragon Age 2 in Dragon Age Inquisition. You got to tweak the look of your hawk because the character creators were different and the program pulls in the file from your dragon Age 2 game
2. They are not using the Dragon Age keep system so The game director stated on Twitter. They tried to put everything in character Creator client. Makes sense because I would imagine a large percentage of people didn't use the keep. You'll also make choices kind of like the Genesis dlc for Mass effect series. The game Is not pulling in information from anywhere else. And since the choices from the previous games do impact what happens in this one, you have to be able to select the decisions that you made previously.
The dialog wheel is similar to inquisition's system. And the perks that you unlock, you also get additional choices and based on your class. The developers have said that will also come into play in this game.
I'm sorry but this not Dark Fantasy at all. As a lot of people said, the looks reminded me of League of Legends or Fortnite.
