Beautiful projects! I love IOD's stuff but it so expensive. Seems their favorite price is $28 and that to me is a high cost when you are reselling DIY items. I sure wish IOD wasn't so high priced.

I have found your channel and I am obsessed. You are truly talented at creating with all the different mediums. Your tutorials are informative and creative. I am truly inspired. I love upcycling wooden items/furniture I find at thrift stores with paint, stain, decoupage, stamps, stencils and so forth. I have used almost every technique you have shown in all of your videos, but I am seeing new ideas flashing in my head watching you do your beautiful creations. I like that you recycle/flip items that might end up in the landfill otherwise. I prefer this kind of tutorial over the Dollar Tree videos that are trending heavy on UTube at the moment. My mindset is "Create a new use for old stuff to make vintage home decor vs buying new stuff to make craft decor".

These turned out so lovely Becky!🌹 It's so wonderful that you can walk into your craft room and pick up scraps and other basic materials and make something so nice! You've inspired all of us to scrounge around and pick up little pieces left from other projects and make something completely different with them. She would walk into the kitchen and create wonderful meals with us never realizing what she used to give us a full dinner and often dessert. It's as if people like you and my mother have a magic wand and whatever you set out to do comes out flawlessly and very impressive! And your results were a tidier craft room for you and a cleaned out refrigerator for mom.😋 You certainly have the magic touch Becky! My momma could cook, sew, make small appliance repairs, help my daddy work on cars, teach Sunday School, and run errands for sick people at church in the same day! She was a literal super hero and anything I am is all because of her. She grew up very poor and taught me (and my sisters) how to get the most from what you have. What great projects! The floral signs with the words over the top are cute as could be! Love the floral pockets too and I wondered if you could tell me how thick the lace boards are and if your husband rounded the corners for you, or if they came that way?? I would like to store some of those in my sewing room with some of my laces. I purchased any yet, but one video showed Harbor Freight white rags are like canvas and she used them for art and I think they would possibly be a good alternative for flour sack pockets.
Hi Debbie, I’m so glad you liked these projects! The lace boards are made from leftover 1/4” luan. Hubby did round the corners for me and cut them at 4x6”. I love using them to organize all my ribbon, lace, and trims. I’m sure the Harbor Freight tags will be an excellent alternative to the flour sack cloths. I do start in the middle of my board, with the middle of my word, and work outward from there. I also use the left side and bottom edge of my quilt ruler at the edges of my board to keep it all straight. I hope that makes sense! Thanks again for watching and I’ll see you in the next video!
Thank you Anna! I have several different brands that I use, depending on what’s on sale. I like: Jolie Finishing Wax, Folk Art Home Decor, and Waverly. You can also make your own by adding a tiny bit of white paint to clear wax.

Hi Linda! I’m so sorry I forgot to give sizes of my wood projects. The lace boards are 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. They are great for organizing all those bits of lace, ribbon and trim!
Hello Cheryl and thank you! Mod Podge does yellow over time. Most things, I don’t mind them getting a yellow, slightly vintage looking patina. If I want it to stay true to color, I’ll do a light sanding and seal again with either spray clear acrylic or wax. Thank you Anna! I have several different brands that I use, depending on what’s on sale. I like: Jolie Finishing Wax, Folk Art Home Decor, and Waverly. You can also make your own by adding a tiny bit of white paint to clear wax.

What size were the boards you used to wrap your laces around I have lots of loose lace and trims through the yrs.I must of missed it...
Hi Linda! I’m so sorry I forgot to give sizes of my wood projects. The lace boards are 4 inches tall and 6 inches wide. They are great for organizing all those bits of lace, ribbon and trim!
Everything looks so good. I nbn have heard that modpodge will yellow with time. Is that not true?
Hello Cheryl and thank you! Mod Podge does yellow over time. Most things, I don’t mind them getting a yellow, slightly vintage looking patina. If I want it to stay true to color, I’ll do a light sanding and seal again with either spray clear acrylic or wax. I plan to experiment with other transfer mediums to find something that doesn’t yellow. Let me know if you have product suggestions! Thanks again for watching and have a great day!
