I attended UC Berkeley. Although it probably wasn't the right fit for me, I worked very hard and graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest academic distinction (Berkeley's equivalent of summa cum laude). Thank you for this video. It brings back lots of memories.
@@carrieflood4265 Glad the video brought the good memories back to you. I'm curious though, why do you think UC Berkeley wasn't the right fit for you? A lot of people dream of it.
@@CampusMania I attended a very small private high school and probably would have done better at a smaller college or university in terms of campus life and atmosphere. I learned a lot and became much more confident and assertive at UC Berkeley, because I had no other choice, so that was important for my growth. I can't say I was happy there but I stuck it out.
@@carrieflood4265 WOW! I'm actually surprised that someone had no other choices but UC Berkeley. But it's not that bad I guess. I'm sure you tried your best to get the most out of it.
@@OranjeLens Good question! September 28th was a Saturday, so it was the weekend. In fact, I was surprised there were so many students like this on a Saturday.
Seriously though, I have seen that at Northwestern University! I saw a parking spot for a bike with a sign that says "Reserved for Sir Fraser Stoddart, 2016 Nobel Prize Laureate Chemistry"! 😂 You can check it out in my Northwestern walk video.
@@CampusMania really?I was under the impression that Northwestern was in the northern suburbs of Chicago, so there shouldn't be a shortage of land (though not as big as Stanford). Maybe it's their form of humor.😂
@@UncleFesher I agree, it might be a sense of humor. I can't imagine that the only gift you would get from the university after winning a Nobel Prize is just a free parking spot lol
Yes, it's an overcast day and an empty campus, which is unfortunate because much more than Stanford, UCLA or UCSD, Berkeley seems electric and buzzing when school's in session. Like: "the future is happening here" vibes.
Not a very pretty day. And very few people on campus at the time. Makes the campus look bleak & semi-abandoned...: like the university is on holiday break & most everyone is gone. And it's a cold & overcast day when people are wearing jackets. So you can't see the attractiveness & variety of styles of the female students warm day clothing. Deceptively, the video physically would not want to make me pick UC Berkeley to come to if I had other excellent choices for a college or university. It doesn't show the beauty & the liveliness of the campus on a nice, warm, sunny day. The video doesn't show students enjoying outdoor patio table areas on campus, or enjoying Sproul Plaza sitting areas & club tables, or enjoying grassy glades. No outdoor pan of lively & very scenic & charming Strada cafe bordering campus. The video does show an ugly construction sight on campus. You shouldn't plan on a career in cinematography or even just travelogue videos for travel agencies or city tourism promotion departments.
One of my 3 favourite universities in the US. 🥰 Thank you for the tour.
@@TyraCruz1122 Glad you liked it. I'm curious though, what are the other 2 favorites?
@@CampusMania my forever MIT and the other one is Columbia ♥️
@@TyraCruz1122 Great choices. MIT is my favorite as well.
That tower is inspiring me to start back painting❤
Maybe you should paint it then! And let us know how it goes.

@valenferx2029 I don't know, it was quite a while ago that I went there.
Beautiful campus 😀. My son graduated there and always visited Berkeley wherever he back to Bay area 😁
@@henryshen6988 Your son must be a smart guy. What did he study there?
I'm curious, Mizo. I'm not familiar with the US school calendar, are they on autumn break? Very few students are roaming.

Because of the compactness of the campus, many professors only get an exclusive parking space if they win a Nobel Prize(Too many good professors.)🤣
