War Shelter of Platanias 🇬🇷 Old Platanias 🌴 Crete 🏖 Greece

Worth to see on your holiday in Platanias / Agia Marina? The War Shelter in Old Platanias is a nice little museum. The war tunnels were built by the German troops in 1942 on the Platanias hill, under the church of St Dimitrios. The system of tunnels, high on the hill overlooking Platanias, was recently a playground for children before becoming the Museum it is today. It is all run by volunteers and receives no public support, so they need tourists to come and visit the place. Watch more videos in my Crete playlist:
