I'm Ex services/CP I've used Carinthia, Crye, Arcteryx leaf, Mystery ranch many times and many different variations, But am loving Helikon-Tex as a civilian with there range of Clothing and back packs. Well made and well thought out. great review good luck growing the Moorlander Tactical channel.
Sorry I missed your message buddy. I've been pretty much keeping to the more budget friendly gear, however having tried some of the God tier gear, I can see the step up on quality, however Helikon Tex as nailing their gear right now. I appreciate though that I can never really push it to it's upper limit like you will have done. For me it's great. Hopefully as the channel grows I'll have chance to work with the likes of Carinthia, Crye and the others more. I'll be at IWA in March handing out my business cards for sure
I have all the high end chest rigs and I can say, helikon is superior to them. Tried and true overseas contracting. Don’t waste your money on Haley and the others that sell you on all the “options” and add ons. You end always configuring all those add ons in the same way most rigs come complete. Great review!
Great review mate, its a solid piece of kit, run mine weekly as lightweight setup. Versatile with the inserts so can take SMG mags as well M4/AK etc. Highly recommended.
Great Video again, and i think exactly the same, Velcro back on the v 2.0 would be nice to use it as a placard. Best wishes from southern Germany to you.
I just released some content on the Helikon-Tex Chicom rig - ua-cam.com/video/fR9xt5vVCUI/v-deo.html I'll make sure to check out the Esstac Chicom version too
Im using this one and IT is awesome....but. there is new chestrig from helikon , recce rig from Guardian line. I will keep tmr but since recce have more mag pouches plus you have place for additional cargo or custome pouches, IT will be my go to rig.
@@moorlandertactical i thnk they limited camo and colour just to focus on colours that Polish military have sińce they said they want to provide gear for Polish soldiers with this new line od equipment. That's why wz93 camo pattern is included. I'll get mine in next month. Also small backpack is out 7,5L so its more like hydro bag with some extra space and you can wear this with plate as integrated system or you can use IT with chest rigs similar to Condor hydro harness systems. For that money (600 PLN ) and Helikon pretty good quality that recce rig could be a very top choice in chest rigs market.
Wonderful review. I'm sold on this rig, just need to decide on color. Was thinking RAL-7013 but the adaptive green is growing on me. Or i could just go safe with multi-cam. 😕
Well you've picked my fav two colours. The RAL looks awesome as does the Adaptive green. They both look really good with a variety of camo too so it's easier to mix and match using flat colours for your gear. Thanks for watching 🤙
In fairness they're very similar. The main difference I find is after prolonged use. Stitching comes undone, buttons fall off, zips start to get stuck. Helikon make great gear at a reasonable price point. They have hit a nice sweet spot, but then saying that, my buddy bought one similar and it lasted him 3 years before it fell apart. Hope that helps
It's great with a low profile backpack. I se my TT Survival Pack with mine. The only thing I might need to adjust slightly is the sternum strap on the backpack slightly. The H harness suits backpacks better than an X harness. Hope that helps
Hi, sorry about the delayed reply. I don't have any 308 mags to try. I can fit 7.62 mags in there and there's a wee bit of wiggle room. I might pick up a few different mags to try them. Thanks for the idea 👍
I did, yes. Unfortunately it did fit. You can definitely squeeze it in there however the third mag insert didn't fit... Although the double rifle/single side arm mag insert did fit. Hope that helps
Pistol mag pouches can be permanently removed to reveal PAL webbing underneath, so you can put your own pouches on. You can also remove the middle AR mag insert and place your own in there.
Great review! I bought this a month or so ago and your video is one I wish I had found before I bought mine. I wouldn’t have gone weeks trying to decide if I should get it or not. I’m using mine for real steal and I like that I can use both M4 and AK mags. Can you show how you adjusted the straps? I see the strap keepers on the bottom. I have mine at the top and they always slide down when I take the chest rig off. Great video on an awesome chest rig!
@@moorlandertactical that would be awesome. I’ve seen where they are at the top of the shoulder blades and then around rib area too. I just can’t figure it out and I’m adjusting every time I put the rig on. Thanks!
Good thorough review of that rig. Couple of questions, 1- what are the dimensions of the front admin pouch ? Would a full size Glock 17 fit inside ? Two how tall are you ? I’m only 5-8 and like my chest rigs to ride high, but when the only adjustment is in the rear, it becomes too tight around by back.
Sorry its took a while to get back. I've just ordered a similar sized pistol which should be here this week. I can tell you if it'll fit as soon as it arrives I'm 5'10" by the way. There's adjustment under each side/armpit. I have a 44" inch chest and there's still miles of strap left over to adjust out or even adjust in
@@moorlandertactical. I just bought the military surplus FLC vest with all the pouches for like 70.00 bucks. It’s practically brand new and fits perfectly. Keeping it as my SHTF rig. Thank you for your reply.
Hey fella. I left a time stamp when the content begins on there for you. I can start putting them in crayon or braille if it helps in future. I appreciate even special needs people (I hope that's how you prefer to be identified nowadays... the landscape is constantly changing) need help reading and that sort of stuff. I put the time stamp there to help reduce any un-needed babble. At 2:41 we start talking about material and construction of the rig. I guess the yin to your yang is I'll never the time back from replying to your comment. Luckily the UA-cam algorithm sees your comment as a positive interactions, especially when I reply back to it so it's win win for me brother. Stay dirty homie
@@moorlandertactical lmao good one. I think I clicked like, I usually do because people think it's important. Ok I missed it, but explain why you keep repeating yourself? Now answer a few questions for me. In that pouch for the rifle mags, could a few more be squeezed in there? Or could I somehow mount a pistist and knife in there with the AR mags? Never used the system but I like it's looks and basic load out. Thanks babbles non stop 😂
Morning Buddy, in fairness I'd just had the world most boring Teams call so my sarcasm meter was on full. I see what you mean about the mentioning things a few times. I tried scripting my content however I'm dyslexic AF and reading out loud isn't one of my fortes. I did it on my other old channel a few years back and it sounded weird and robotic. I think it's my brain trying to remember all of the details and revisiting things to make sure in my head I know I've mentioned things 😆 I hadn't thought about doubling up in the back pocket however you can definitely make that work. If you had some double stack M4 pouches they'd definitely fit (or at least, I'm pretty sure they would). There's at least an inch or two either side of the mag pouches when they're in so the extra room would allow it. It would be time to test your patience getting them in with all of the Velcro in there, but once in they'd work. Other things would fit too. Knife sheath, chem lights etc. My guess if they made it slightly wider just in case you wanted larger 308 mags or smaller 9mm mags. As a system it's not as flexible as the Helikon-Tex Competition rig, however it's still got options Hope you're well buddy 🤘

Hello from Sydney, Australia 🍻
Very nice for the money. Esstac "chicom" rig is probably the best buy for the "gucci" gear, being a full chest rig for $115.

Yes, I've seen the Recce rig. The camos are quite limited at the moment. I'm 100% going to pick one up soon to make some content on 🤙

Is there enough space in the large front pouch for medium to small binos?
Yes definitely. It's a reasonably good sized pouch 🤙
I wish the pistol mag pouches were detachable.
I wonder how this Heilkon compares to the same exact ones but different brand and cheaper that are sold on amazon?

Oh forgot to say, definitely check out One Tigris. They make awesome budget gear too 🤙
Hi, awesome vid and well presented i was wondering if the stock mag pouches hold ak style mags
they'll fit but it's a struggle. That lip on the mag is the issues. They'll fit in upside down which isn't ideal. Hope that helps buddy
Appreciate the video! Is the admin pouch detachable? If so is it Molle or vecro? Thank you in advanced!
Yes, it's held on by molle and PALs webbing
Love this review, been thinking of getting one of these for a while for airsoft. Do you know what it is like to wear with a backpack?

Would .308 pmags fit into the rifle mag slots? Im not sure how much wider .308 mags are vs .556 mags.

Thanks look like I’ll need a couple oh extra pouches on my belt
Thanks for the review bud, had my eye on this bit of kit for a while now. Can the flaps on the mag pouches be removed or are they stitched in place?

What makes this chest rig a training rig ?
Not gonna lie... Really not sure
Too much going on
I know some people prefer a more simple rig, and I get that
FIVE minutes of babble before you got to the actual rig. Please don't waste people's time in the future
