I first got to know of Porter staying up late and night looking after my newborn son. This really cool video clip for a song called “Flicker” came on. I have a bit of an interest in the railways so the tune and the clip got my attention. It’s been a great journey since then following Porter through the past 9 years. So seeing this performance was something I was really looking forward to and it didn’t disappoint. Porter is a master at his craft, I just love how he can change the energy, the focus and the impact of the performance with such skill
Thanks for making the journey to Australia Porter and hope to see you again soon.
The footage is at times wonky as I was primarily looking at the show and cuddled up to my significant other.
The sound quality at the show was excellent (the recording does it a bit of justice, but not the same as being there, y'know). Open to correction (add to comments below), but the main PA was one hang a side of 8 x L'Acoustic K2s. Subs were 4 groups of 4 KS28's in Cardiod configuration along the front of the stage. Thanks for the sound guy for letting the highs of the show run through even though it looked like your SMAART laptop was telling you off. :-) Thanks to all crew front of house and back generally well!

@@undomielkay that’s pretty much it. I saw the video and started trying to figure out how to play it. On the night I still wasn’t 100% sure and when I went in for the second part I had to pause to remember what I had learned haha.

Being able to see this show in full again feels wrong- like I shouldn't be allowed to. There was a palpable sense of connection to Porter and those around you. When he said it was his last show, we truly gasped. When the launchpad came out, we truly cheered. When the MacBook came out with the songs that forced us back to 2014- while also signalling the end is near, we truly cried.
I'll never be able to relive that, but to watch from a distant eye at the time when I felt those things- that's great

I've been a porter robinson fan since the age of 10 and I was looking forward to seeing him live in Sydney but the concert was 18+. I'm 17 and 18 in a few months... has to be the most frustrating thing all year but I'm glad you uploaded it all so I could watch it lol
It was one of the best experiences of my life! My boyfriend introduced me to him in 2021 and I’m surprised that I haven’t listened to him before. He’s been a staple in my life! Him playing "Trying to Feel Alive" made me absolutely ball my eyes out! Every song from tonight was incredible! Thank you for uploading the night, absolute legend!!

I always wish i could've seen a concert of his in person, they seem so great and fun and hus music is genuinely my favorite out of everyone. Sadly, my life situation never allowed me too. Porter is a blessing and a 10/10 artist in my book from now till the day I die.

Nurture is the love of my life and it meant literally everything to me during covid. my biggest regret in recent memory was not going to this show because i was too distracted with the hsc. i let life get in the way of what mattered so much to me. and now im just absolutely heartbroken that I couldn't enjoy this in person. nonetheless, you couldn't fathom the gratitude i feel.
You have no idea how sad I am to not be able to make a single nurture show :(

Wifey and I had to laugh. They weren’t interested in our IDs and when we got to security check they took one look and pushed us straight into through, the my didn’t want us waiting with the kids. We must be definitely looking middle aged now 🤣
It’s a shame it wasn’t all ages, we would have bought our eldest two, though I know the Hordern isn’t the best place for it. Our eldest loved Bicep at the Enmore in January

also, how did you manage to get decent audio in the recording?
It was recorded using the built-in microphones on my iPhone 13, nothing special. The sound was very clear up the back. I kinda wish I had a proper audio recording rig, because although the audio in the recording it pretty good it is a bit rolled off in the top end and is missing a lot of the bottom octave of the sound
