Just happen to be looking for some plus size look ideas and ran across head to curve. I definitely agree with the shaping. I'm high waisted and big belly. Life is lifing. I used to help dress people for a living as a manager of several different plus size brands. So glad I found you guys. I need this reset.
I found this conversation so interesting. I unfortunately, find myself in a position that I no longer have a friend group. But not being an influencer, I don't have a lot of opportunity to meet other woman who are like me. So, I'll have to give that some thought. As far as the Tyler Perry comment, my position with a man has always been we each pay half of everything. I am not about to let some man live off of me no matter what.
Hello Nita and friends, I enjoyed the discussion panel. It was so wonderful seeing progressive Black women discuss what they expectations are regarding a man. Ladies you are absolutely correct when you’ll stated that men are insecure when their partner acquires more income. I’ve experienced negative attitude with my ex-husband because I brought more resources into the relationship. Thanks again for the discussion.

I appreciate the point about not being the "traditional" plus figure woman, just as how the rainbow is not made up of the same color but a variety of colors, so are we all. Not all plus women have the small bust, narrow waist and hips, we are not all shaped like a tall coke bottle. Thnak you for this discussion.

I following two of these beautiful women. The videos are very good, and had helped me to find something according my body type and it makes me feel beautiful! It is a journey to feel confident and comfortable with your body, and I wish I started and do that when I was in my teens and my twenties.

I am insecure about my body, even though I am a size 10 coke bottle. I’m still not comfortable in my skin but watching your channels, gives me confidence due to your poise, style, intelligence, and authenticity ❤

Hey, Girls, Hey! Love you ladies much!! Thank you for this couch talk conversation. It was very much needed. I, too, am a "Thicker than grits " girl and I love the skin that I 'm in. Life is too short to sweat what others, especially those with the banging bodies or the commercial bodies, because way I see it is, that even though they may have " that look", many of them are still single too. So, never compare ore size yourself up against them. I've never heard a man say "give me some "stretch marks"😅 Lastly, I have a thick girl motto."When a big girl moves her bones, a skinny woman loses her home". On that note; Bye, girl, bye!😂🤣🤣❤❤❤
My confidence went away when family kept telling me how big I was. All my life I was only told I was big. Imagine keep hearing that as a kid , I grew up with low confidence , I have talk positive to myself daily. Then at work my confidence is a problem with other women . I’m seeing a therapist now , at 53 and I’m still not happy with how I look ….

Awesome group of ladies🎉 what I’ve learned in talking to different women is they’re most uncomfortable after gaining weight and when you’ve always been a big girl you more readily except this is me and I’m going to be confident in my skin.
