    i had a 335 since 1980, traded it for an archtop Eastman. Missed the sound, and got this Eastman - so much better than the 335. Not close. You sound great

    Eastman is a true gem that a lot of people dismiss because it's made in China. I actually play my Eastman T486 and SB59 more than my Gibson guitars now. It's Gibson custom shop quality and only about a quarter the price

      That’s so good to hear. I play mine a lot. Find myself liking it more than my PRS for gigs

      I also have an sb59 and an Eastman t486 and will absolutely agree that they are better than my Gibson's. I absolutely love them.

      What is the difference between sb59 and t486?

    • @jimmydoger1583
      @jimmydoger1583 2 роки тому +3

      @@wangluyi the difference is the t486 is a semi-hollow body and the sb59 is a solid body. It depends on what kind of music you play they sound quite a bit different. Both are great guitars but if I could only have one I would take the SB 59. Both are hard to get right now but either one would be a good investment they're both very underpriced for what you get. I hope this helps answer your question a little.

    I've got a T59/V and it is better than any Gibson 335 you can get for less than $7K. I tried out all the Gibson 335s I could find in the Portland, Oregon metro area and none of them could match the T59/V.

      Same thing here. I have owned a 335 didn't love it sold it. About 10 years later I decided I needed one again went shopping and bought this

    I love my T486- it has a killer flame top, better than what you typically get from a Gibson. The ebony fretboard is so smooth and buttery, and the pickups come stock with Seymour Duncan’s! What more can you ask for?

    • @nicksburson1
      @nicksburson1  3 роки тому

    Great playing and thanks for the review! Have you tried the T59 model by chance? I’m trying to decide between the two. How does the T486 handle distortion? Thanks again for the review. Cheers.

      Honestly have tried a t59 and much preferred my PRS McCarty.. this has a natural brightness from the maple neck maple core which is just really clear and articulate. As far as heaven distortion, I don’t really do much playing like that.. anything up to king of Leon/ foo fighter tour all good though

      Thanks Nick. No one has a T59 model right now so no ability to try one. But the T486 looks and sounds great. Thanks for your input.

      I would say it is smaller than my PRS McCarty but I do bigger than a standard strat though..
