I love my ES137 Custom, which I use 95% for jazz. The fat neck fills my hand and makes comping effortless. It was a warm woody tone on the neck pup which I use almost exclusively, through a Princeton Reverb. An underrated model imho.

Each to there own. Pleased you like it.. I’ve still got this one at my house but don’t think I could gig it. My playing was horrible on it

Additionally I didn’t find that with my 335 by Eastman

Definitely worth commenting that, unless there was an aftermarket change, they aren’t 57 Classics - they’re 490R and 498T. The 57 Classics are in the custom model (with the veritone). IMO those pickups are generally not great and a pickup swap would solve a lot of these problems.

Ok.. cool not what I was told but the point still stand it wasn’t a good sound for me. I look back at my playing on this review and just hated it. Couldn’t vibe/play it even though I like the neck

Would different pickups solve the muddiness issue?
