As you mentioned in the beginning, the lights don’t get stuck; in other words, it’s not a bug. It’s just preserving the last level the volume of that channel was set at prior to the last shut off. I could appreciate the feature, but it can get dangerous at times when plugging into live powered speakers lol. Love your videos, you’re awesome, Deb.
All your videos are super helpful. Thanks for all the great tutorials
This was super useful!! Thanks Deb!!
Tengo que hacer exactamente lo mismo con una batería electrónica, muchas gracias!!!
Great Video keep up the good work the lights on each channel are actually intentional. They show where your faders were originally its like scene recall. Thanks
should i use the original apple adaptor? or i can use anything brand?
Your videos are very helpful.. Thank you for your time
You are welcome!
Thank you so much maam 😊👏
Hi deb, very nice vidéo !
And What do you suggest just for having all this but with recording ???
Thanks for this very easy anderstanding vidéo !
Hello Deb, this video was very useful. Is there another option for the mixer?, I cannot find that mixer in my country
You can use any mixer with in/out for your device.
Thanks for sharing, Deb. This would open up a world of possibilities for posting to social media. Question: I don't have the Zoom mixer, but could one follow a similar procedure with a DAW? --e.g. mic vocal and guitar (or run the latter direct) through audio interface to DAW and out from computer to camera app on iPhone?
Great video idea. Yes you can. Works the same.
@@DebErney Cool! I hope you're able to make a video on that. I would really be interested . Thanks, Deb, you rock!
Thank you🌸 Does this setup send a stereo signal into the iPhone?
Almost no one is talking about it...
With the right stereo cables and ends, yes.
Super video! Thx
Do you have any experience with the Zoom R24? I have it but I still don’t know everything works yet.
I have a few videos on it. Go to @deberney and search zoom r24
Hi thanks for the video. My question is, have you ever used the connector with power input? Does it work just connecting to a powerbank? 👍
Your question was a good one and prompted me to do video. I tried it and it works perfectly. ua-cam.com/video/CtM7i-BmV_Q/v-deo.html
Is this the same as using the TRRS port on the mixer, to iphone TRRS/lightening adaptor?
TRRS includes voice. So I’m not sure.
Am I able to use 3 mics simultaneously with this setup? Next question, can I input my iPad to the mixer as a soundboard while using the iPhone as the camera?
You can use a manny mic as you have inputs. Yes you can use 3. I’m not aware of being able to use iPhone for mixer and camera.
@@DebErney I want to use the iPhone camera as the output. I want to plug an additional iPad to channel 4 (along with mics on channel 1,2,&3) to play sound effects also. Im using channel 4 as a line-in.
Thanks for your explanation. I have a few questions: 1. Is it possible to record multiple tracks separately or only one track in iPhone? 2. Is it possible to record to the Mixer without computer or iPhone? 3. Is it possible to use 48v for different channels separately?
With analog mixer you will get 1 stereo track or two mono tracks. You can record your mixer outputs to any external recorder. This mixer does not have recording capabilities .
@@DebErney Thanks.
Excellent!
Hi
I am think About L8
Do you think it is work with Android? 😊
Not sure. You’d have to contact Zoom.
Thank u 🙏🏼 but am wondering if can i stream by using this setup? Or only iPhone camera video? Thank u again
It’s not ideal, but you may be able to rig it. I’m not into the streaming though I’ve seen videos on how to do it.
@@DebErney thank u deb 🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼 I really learned from ur videos.. I watch many videos in Arabic and English but ur channel is different 🫶🏼🫶🏼 thank u from SaudiArabia 🇸🇦
Good video but why can’t I just hook up my phone with the cable into the phone input instead of the usb and do the A/I thing?
You can certainly do that as well.
@@DebErney I got the adapter over the weekend and gave it a run today. Worked great. Thanks for the info.
Hello Deb. 🖐🏻 i’m powering my zoom mixer by a TENDAK USB hub. Im having problem with the connection from my mixer to iphone. When im about to select ‘IOS’ in Audio I/F, it says Disconnect USB cable once.
Followed your steps exactly.
Will this only works with batteries?
Batteries or plug in. It is quite limited in that aspect.
@@DebErney can i feed the output of the Zoom l-8 to my iphone and be the audio feed of the video it's recording? I mean, if i want to video record using a mobile phone while playing guitar and singing to a mic connected all in this mixer
Same problem here. Did you manage to fix it?
Thanks for the video, is this work with other mixer or just for ZOOM livetrack?
This is kind of hit and miss. Unless you buy a mixer that is specifically USB/digital.
What about a USB microphone where would it go?
I haven’t tried a USB mic, but I imagine it would go into your iPhone. You may need an adapter from mic to iPhone.
is the mixer running on batteries?
there is only one USB output that is used for either connecting or electric. So, yes this is running on batteries.
hi, what is the name of the app you used on your iphone for video recording, thanks.
I use the screen recorder on iPad and I like QuickTime for MacBook Pro.
Hi Deb, thanks for the video. Do you know whether in this setup the Livetrak is drawing power from your batteries or from the power that’s plugged into the iPhone Connection adapter? When I try this, the Livetrak advises me to Please Power Down after just a couple of minutes, even when I have a fresh set of alkaline AA’s installed. Thx
I couldn’t tell if the LIVETRAK was picking up from the adapter or not. I’ll try to do a video showing it with a hub for next week? Good topic.
@@DebErney Super :) Thank you
Why did u specifically use this mixer is this the only one on Amazon that works to record in iPhone camera
It’s the mixer I had. Most should work the same.
It’s this work in any mixer?
@@andreisurdu7314 any mixer will work get the right cables as shown in the video
Is this will also work with Keyboard piano instead of guitar?
Yes, with the proper connectors
Thanks a lot🙏
Most welcome 😊
When I connected my L12 and opened the camera app. It works but it only records channel one on the left channel and channel 2 on the right. The rest of the channels don’t send audio though the usb.
When you record a video with just the microphone on channel one , does the playback on the video sound on only left channel as well?
Your phone only has left and right. Most output sources will only have 2 channels out. You have to mix the signal output.
Funciona con celulares android????
Works with any mixer on USB ? I'm not sure if I need some drivers, I have an Behringer Q802USB . Thank you
If your mixer has USB output you should be able to provided you setup the iPhone plug in last. I have a few videos with this that may help. Also helps with newer equipment/phone. ua-cam.com/video/QkV57x4Ww2k/v-deo.html
Irig connect to iPhone 14 ?
You could definitely use one of the Irig units.
The IPhone 15 TRRS input isn’t working for phone calls on the Zoom L8. It worked fine on my IPhone 12. I’m not sure what happened.
Don’t know
We set a few room mics around the room to get the whole band but I noticed the video would stop recording and start again giving us little clips instead of a full length video of our song . Any reason this would happen ?
Using the mixer and recording may be a bit much for your phone
@@DebErney thank you Deb we were thinking the same thing . Next time we are going to try just recording the audio with the mixer in GarageBand , use other phones or GoPros to get the video then link them up on the computer
Does this work with the Zoom R20?
If it has USB it should though I haven’t used the zoom r20
How many microphones can you add to the setup?
As many as your mixer will allow though all your tracks are mixed into 2 track stereo.
Where is connected in the back of the mixer
No rear connections
Is it the same way to connect with the podtrak 8?
don't have the podtrak 8, but I assume they would be similar as they are both from Zoom.
Hello Deb. Thank you for your video.
I've got the Tascam 24 and I want to connect to my apple iphone pro max 14.
How is the cable from the iphone connected to the mixer?
I understand the iphone camera adapter, but not how or where the cable is connected to the mixer.
Please explain?
Thank you Deb!
This mixer is also a true DAW and it is connected with the USB cable. Don’t think the Tascam 24 has USB in/out?
The LIVETRAK L1 is a mixer designed as a mixer/DAW. This means true in and out of separate channels and the ability to connect in/out with iOS. With an analogue mixer/recorder you will need to get an audio adapter for your iPhone to go into your device. Something like this will work. amzn.to/3XD7x9y
@@DebErney Thank you so much!
@@DemocratsForUnity Thanks. My Tascam has an USB that links to my FL STUDIO SIGNATURE DAW in my Dell PC.
how to make video camera audio left and right balanced? im using Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 and direct to iphone with lightning adaptor, but when i start record, it just left channel audio in result
Make sure your camera output is stereo and make sure to use stereo connectors on both ends.
You have to put camra on and set it on vedeo mode before you plug in iPhone charger Leed .and put off before unplug
I mean switch on and swich off camra app before plugging in and out .
Please my connection is not working, I need guidance

I never subbed so fast. This is what I want to do with my own channel cuz it’ll make editing take much less time. I like that you’re informative but play guitar too.
Thanks for the sub!
