The best part of Omori. Is the fact that it feels real. Trauma. Struggles. These happen. But here it makes us know that everything can fall to shit. You’ll have to accept that. Just like my trauma. If you let him in, you leave fantasy land and face the memories of the incident, the red pill. Or you can not let him and take the hikikomori route and keep on living in the fantasy and illusion that the incident never happened.

I beat the game 2 days ago at 12:30 in the morning and I think it’s my favourite game of all time. It’s for sure one of the best ending sequences of all time (the fight with Omori and final duet) and to cap it off with the great Good Morning and My Time is such a good bonus.
I swear, this game gets me so emotional. I've seen this before, I watched the whole gameplay, I know all endings, but seeing Something there next to Sunny's bed has me bursting out into tears-
You mean in the hallway where you see them and Stranger? Nothing really, you'll just stop at a closed door and then have to follow Stranger to the good end anyway. I've seen a lot of people say they are like, a reference to the bad and the door you stop at leads to the balcony. But I think rather than that it's supposed to showcase Sunny letting go of them in favour of their real versions, hence why they just walk into the opposite direction and disappear
bro i am so confused on how to get the alt stab ending, can someone help? im not sure how to wake up at night and stab sunny, i keep waking up in the morning and sunny is already stabbed.
Sunny Route: Grab the knife after neutral basil and enter white space, stab and you'll wake up stabbed with the phone ringing. Omori Route: On moving day, sleep till morning and open the menu, the stab option is open. The credits will not be police sirens but instead a phone ringing.
I just realized that in the good ending, Omori is the one that vanishes (and the knife is dropped) 26:16 but in thd bad one, Sunny is the one that vanishes (and the violin is dropped instead) 8:05
28:46 what happens if you follow the Headspace friends upward or go straight through the hall? i havent seen a playthrough where someone tried this, and am curious
I tried in my playthrough. If you go straight, there are three more hospital doors that are locked. If you follow the friends, you find a set of double doors that is also locked with the friends no where in sight. So, your only option is down.
When you reach the door they went through Sunny shakes his head and doesn't let you go with them. I think that means he's not going to escape the truth anymore by engaging with the headspace characters, but instead he's choosing to stay in reality even though it might hurt.
Easy. If the player chooses not to retry or continue after losing to OMORI, the latter will win control over SUNNY's mind. From there, OMORI wakes up in WHITE SPACE once again
@@Kari-Pekka Oh I guess I can see how people would choose not to continue because they thought it would take them back to the menu or something. To me, because it was different than the normal game over screen, and it said "continue" instead of "retry," I thought, clearly I am being asked to make some kind of impactful decision and it's not just a normal "do you want to try again" thing. But I guess that's not clear to everyone. Also I was thinking, I've come this far, I can't give up now 😄
You get led to the hospital entrance, but Sunny will shake his head when you interact with the doors, leaving you no option but to meet Basil in his room.
can someone explain on who is omori? is it sunnys guilt of killing mari , since omori transaltes as kill(if im not wrong thats how it translates)or is it smth else, and how does he take control of sunny?
Omori is the person Sunny made during the time he was shut-in. In the dream world omori is trying to prevent you from discovering the truth by distracting you in finding Basil A. K. A the "Truth". In short Omori is preventing you to recall the past by making "white space" where all of their happy memories in their childhood is there, and hiding "black space" where all of Sunny's phobia, fears, past, etc is there.
Omori (short for "hikkikomori", a person who doesn't leave their house often due to severe mental health issues) is the alter ego Sunny assumed to escape reality and live in his childlike, happy, "peaceful" dream world. He's unable to live his life and grow emotionally because he's living in complete denial of his trauma to protect himself. Omori and Sunny are two sides of the same psyche, or Omori is a figment of Sunny's imagination, depending on how you want to see it. And Omori is trying to keep you (Sunny) safe, as symbolized by Sunny falling into his arms and Omori hugging him in several cutscenes. The good ending is Sunny facing the truth, letting go of Omori and giving up on his self-isolation and denial of reality. While it kept him alive and moderately sane, it was robbing him of any chance of living his life. The bad ending is Sunny facing the truth, only to seek escape from it again. But because he can no longer live in pretense that everything is fine, the dream world breaks down and Omori/Sunny ends up killing himself.
@@neckpeck2738I see the bad ending as like Omori taking control of Sunny’s body in a way. I see Omori as something in sunny that doesn’t want to let the truth out and when omori(in the bad ending) wins he makes sunny kill himself to prevent the truth to ever be shared
Can you actually beat Omori in the final battle? I always get to the 5th round and die due to Sunny getting afraid. Can only use Calm Down as other skills are disabled. That only works in tandem with attacking for a little while =/
does anyone know what happens if sunny decides to go up, instead of following basil at the hospital? i couldn't find a video of this and i cant play the game
You'll come to the balcony doors, and if you interact with them Sunny will shake his head. This means that he really has chosen life amd is healing 🥹 Nothing other than that though.
What exactly happened on the confrontation between basil and sunny that sunny got his eye stabbed? What happened at the confrontation in the 1st place, why did sunny fight against basil?
They were literally fighting. Basil was having a psychosis attack. Omocat confirmed in an interview that Basil is the one who created "something" because he couldn't accept that Sunny did *that* to Mari. Basil, in his psychosis attack, thought "something" made Sunny do that to Mari, scribble his photos, and now, that it was making Sunny leave (move away). Basil attacked Sunny because he was hallucinating and thought he was attacking "something" in order to protect him. He had gardening shears and stabbed Sunny's eye in his hallucinating frenzy.
They're the same thing. Neutral knife can happen in the hikkikomori route and Neutral Basil in the night Basil dies and Sunny goes home. But the ending is the same.
Ok real question, where the fuck did Sunnys eye injury come from? In all ending, sunny right eye is all okie dokie but then when he snaps back to reality, he just aquires it out of nowhere, is this sumbolic of something, WHAT HAPPENED?
@@everlastingcometit’s a combination of both of them. If you go back to the fight with Basil you can see him stabbing Sunny’s eye. But i do agree that it is symbolic of the death of Mari.
If you’re talking about in the good ending, then no, Basil likely does not die. It’s supposed to showcase Sunny and Basil admitting what they did so they can start a new beginning without everything bottled up. They’re just both in the hospital healing after their fight. If you’re referring to the Neutral Basil ending, then yes Basil dies. He commits suicide because the player chooses “No” to save Basil.

good game but so depressing
I just finished the game and on my 1st try i got the secret ending. :D
You just really love flowers 😂
stop traumatizing us
Words cannot explain how emotional i was whej i got the good ending first playthrough literally 2 am and i was in shambles
I finished the game today i got the good ending , i was in tears
i complete omori and i have no idea how do i get the best ending for first time playing this game but its masterpiece
Don't give up when fighting omori, you must survive for sometime before you get it
@@Kari-Pekka No i was saying like i complete it with the good ending
@@tomasxd always water Basils plants, win against omori as far as possible and when the game asks to continue, say yes.
"neutral basil" excuse me?
Something 0:08
Ah yes. 4K in a RPG Maker game that runs on a 640x480 resolution by default
I got six ads during ts UA-cam really fell off
UA-cam went to hell years ago
I JUST NOTICED IN THE BAD END SUNNY DISSAPEARS AND IN THE GOOD ONE OMORI DISSAPEARS
The good ending made my heart ache
I'm glad that i got the Good Ending at my first play:))
The bad ending got me cry😢
feeling great bcuz I did the good ending on my first time playing, hell yeah
What happens if you follow kel hero and Aubrey in the hospital in the good ending?
im wondering the same thing!
When you reach the door they went through Sunny shakes his head and doesn't let you go with them.
I think that means he's not going to escape the truth anymore by engaging with the headspace characters, but instead he's choosing to stay in reality even though it might hurt.
Okay I don't understand how people get the bad ending. Like why would you choose to give up?
Easy. If the player chooses not to retry or continue after losing to OMORI, the latter will win control over SUNNY's mind. From there, OMORI wakes up in WHITE SPACE once again
Or if you meant why people choose to get bad ending. The fight is frustrating and takes a very long time
@@Kari-Pekka Oh I guess I can see how people would choose not to continue because they thought it would take them back to the menu or something. To me, because it was different than the normal game over screen, and it said "continue" instead of "retry," I thought, clearly I am being asked to make some kind of impactful decision and it's not just a normal "do you want to try again" thing. But I guess that's not clear to everyone. Also I was thinking, I've come this far, I can't give up now 😄
The same reason why people do genocide in Undertale: to see what happens
28:43 what happens if u follow the others?
You get led to the hospital entrance, but Sunny will shake his head when you interact with the doors, leaving you no option but to meet Basil in his room.
how do i get the first ending? I’ve gotten all the other ones
don’t go outside ever, then on the final day you get the option
Honestly i felt bad after the abandonment ending
can someone explain on who is omori? is it sunnys guilt of killing mari , since omori transaltes as kill(if im not wrong thats how it translates)or is it smth else, and how does he take control of sunny?
Omori is the person Sunny made during the time he was shut-in. In the dream world omori is trying to prevent you from discovering the truth by distracting you in finding Basil A. K. A the "Truth".
In short Omori is preventing you to recall the past by making "white space" where all of their happy memories in their childhood is there, and hiding "black space" where all of Sunny's phobia, fears, past, etc is there.
@@Cyannosus ty man
Omori (short for "hikkikomori", a person who doesn't leave their house often due to severe mental health issues) is the alter ego Sunny assumed to escape reality and live in his childlike, happy, "peaceful" dream world.
I see Omori as something in sunny that doesn’t want to let the truth out and when omori(in the bad ending) wins he makes sunny kill himself to prevent the truth to ever be shared
please make full walkthrough with all endings
Can you actually beat Omori in the final battle? I always get to the 5th round and die due to Sunny getting afraid. Can only use Calm Down as other skills are disabled. That only works in tandem with attacking for a little while =/
I don't think it's possible to beat
I GUESS I GOT THE SECRET ENDING WITH THE GOOD ENDING💀💀🙏🙏
does anyone know what happens if sunny decides to go up, instead of following basil at the hospital? i couldn't find a video of this and i cant play the game
Nothing really from what i remember
You'll come to the balcony doors, and if you interact with them Sunny will shake his head. This means that he really has chosen life amd is healing 🥹
Nothing other than that though.
How can an ending where sunny jumps off a building be a good ending
That is the bad ending
bc life is horrible
Wait what's the difference between the neutral knife and the neutral basil? Is it luck?
They're the same thing.
Neutral knife can happen in the hikkikomori route and Neutral Basil in the night Basil dies and Sunny goes home.
But the ending is the same.
Mertz Crest
every character has the same ass cut like sunny bruh
Yeah that's true. To be fair, sometimes you don't have the creativity to do a completely original and new hairstyle to every character
Aint no Good ending if Mari still in the grave!!!
Cope Ending: Sunny wakes up and mr krabs pulls mari outta the grave because she owed him 3 clams
How the end be choice it's aleatoire or it depend what you do ?
The 2 first ones are random. Good and bad ending are your choice
What happens if u go up instead of down in the hospital or can u only go down
Only go down
I recommend you play Omori! It's a very silly game, trust me! :)
yeah very silly!!! Totally won’t make you brawl your eyes out cuz it’s so sad!
Naw I was trying to watch a different play through and there was a link for suicide prevention hotline and I couldn’t watch it
Why is the ending different then on the switch or did I just mist something in my playthrough?
If you finish the game can you return to certain parts?
Where was sunny and basillll 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
How do you achieve the first ending?
hikikomori ending when?
Its there in the video

Ok real question, where the fuck did Sunnys eye injury come from? In all ending, sunny right eye is all okie dokie but then when he snaps back to reality, he just aquires it out of nowhere, is this sumbolic of something, WHAT HAPPENED?
Mari is represented by the right eye, it being injured shows that sunny got over his guilt with mari.
@@tadpoleisalive Huh... I guess that's why before the ending, the eye is "alright" since he's using white space to cope, where Mari is still alive.
@@everlastingcomet basil stabbed sunny's eye
@@KO-wd3ww I like the philosopher point of view better.
@@everlastingcometit’s a combination of both of them. If you go back to the fight with Basil you can see him stabbing Sunny’s eye. But i do agree that it is symbolic of the death of Mari.
id rather not watch this before actually completing the game
Does the secret ending have a cutscene with Marie?
What the heck is this game?! That's intense...

Wait did basil die?
If you’re talking about in the good ending, then no, Basil likely does not die. It’s supposed to showcase Sunny and Basil admitting what they did so they can start a new beginning without everything bottled up. They’re just both in the hospital healing after their fight. If you’re referring to the Neutral Basil ending, then yes Basil dies. He commits suicide because the player chooses “No” to save Basil.
